Authorized Cptn Fancypants, since I figured there would be no problem with him joining. Welcome.
BTW, we have two other people, "makrin" and "Nubianmercenary," also in the civgroup awaiting authorization. While I generally have no problem authorizing people, I do find it a little strange authorizing someone who has not posted or, to my knowledge, PMed with a simple request to join the team.
So I've left them unauthorized for now. Anyone gotten a PM or communication from them?
