PJay, could you post at least tentative intelligence report for the latest turns (as I understand you haven't done 675 & 650 yet), with full report coming later?
I'm particularly interested in techs researched by Sara/Mercs.
I will also try to dig into the secrets of cIV Intelligence - I know I promised I'd do that a long time ago, but with you having less time and the Intelligence becoming more complicated there's incentive to have more than one person able to do it.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Ok, I've had foreign intelligence data for this turn since 26/06/2007. It seems I only posted it on skype though, so here it is on the forums now:
[26/06/2007 20:51:46] PJayTycy: foreign intelligence 650 BC
Mercs: whipped in 2nd city and grew back in 3th. Total pop = 4+3+3+2
Vox: pop growth in capital : pop 4 -> pop 5. Total pop = 5+1
GS: pop growth in city 2 or 3 : pop 3-> pop 4. Total pop = 5+4+3
[26/06/2007 20:52:09] PJayTycy: but, as I said, I am not certain at all about these things
[26/06/2007 20:52:17] PJayTycy: expecially Mercs population
[26/06/2007 20:52:27] PJayTycy: goodbeye
[26/06/2007 20:52:31] binTravkin: they could've grown back in 4th too
[26/06/2007 20:53:08] binTravkin: ok, when you back please post some stuff how to do intelligence
(I'll update the topped thread later)no sig

Hey, just wanted to let everybody know that I'm still lurking too. Way to go with the preparations for war! So, from what I gather it seems that the worst-case scenario projections assume that the Bananas will have archery, which they don't even have yet, it seems. That's good! Always prepare for the worst-case scenario. The Spartans learned that all too well with Operation PTS. We could have ended the Morganites right there, but the Morganites figured out what we were doing and pulled together a stunning defense at the last minute, in one turn! So basically, what I'm saying is that the battle is never over until it is over. As Han Solo once said, "Alright, kid, don't get cocky!"
By the way, have we considered the possibility that the Bananas might raze their own cities when push comes to shove?Civ IV is digital crack. If you are a college student in the middle of the semester, don't touch it with a 10-foot pole. I'm serious.

First of all, note this is the thread for turn 650 BC, while currently 600 BC is already played. So, the information I post here, is after-600BC battlefield information, which might not have been known in the previous discussions in this thread.
So, bananas have 3 cities, with 3 population each.- We can see in the capital through religion spread. It's guarded by one warrior.
- We can see in their second city due to a scout standing next to it. The city is unguarded (a warrior moved out to scare away our scout, but we didn't run away. We don't know if they will attack. Their attack-odds should be +/- 50%)
- Our stack of 4 military units will be right next to third city (closest one to our territory) next turn. We'll be able to look into it too. It is probably guarded by one warrior now and might have 2 warriors by the time we attack.
Warriors have strength 2, Chuks have 6 (but 9 versus warriors). Even if those warriors have 5 turns of fortification (+25%) and they suddenly build a wall (+50%), the maximum warrior defense will be 3.50. Fighting against fully defensive archers would be +/- at 50% odds. Fighting against axes/swords would be at a (slight) advantage for us. But, they have only 3 warriors. Total.
About razing their cities : I think we plan to raze atleast one of them anyway.no sig

They have had BW for quite long but copper only for 2 turns at best.
I think we're 100% sure they have 3 warriors, but PJay could be more knowledgeable on this matter.
Can one raze own city in cIV? I've never seen that option..-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

I remember ACDG 2, when Cycon was fighting Pirates. Cycon offered assimilation/union, but Pirates did not want that.

Well the Pirates were toast already and we continued to assimilate bases until they were down to a single colony Pod on a tiny Island that we were going to banish them too. But then we destroyed it when it looked like the Hive was going to use it at a forward base against us.
