  • Message proposal:
    Greetings Stormians!

We see that our last message has not fallen on deaf ears and you have at last given your scientists appropriate funding.
Therefore we wish to inquire when exactly will Feudalism be transferred to us. We feel that even without direct funding there must be some investment already done and the time needed to invest the remainder shouldn't be hard to calculate.

    Your friends @ AC

    • Shouldn't they be the ones to send us a reply to the previous message?

        • We cannot stockpile forever, so we should push this matter.

          • It's been four days, we can give them 7. After that we need to make it clear that their lack of diplomacy and suspicious mistakes are going to end in war unless they really start cooperating.

            • Should we send it? GS doesn't seem like responding.
Impaler and me are both pro sending.

                    • Greetings Stormians !

We are concerned about the placement of your last city. We thought we had a (non-formal) agreement to not build any cities in that contested zone, or at least to divide the resources in there equally. Now you've taken the cows, the horses and the elephants, leaving us only the northern rice. This city is very close to the former southern banana city, where we believe we have the full rights to.

Especially concerning the help we gave you in your war on Vox and clearing the complete southern part of the continent for you, we had hoped you would not build up your borders mainly towards our lands.

For a continued good relationship and colaboration, we hope this will be your most northern city. We also still didn't receive any estimate on when you'd be done with feudalism.

                      Sincerely yours,

                      AC

                          Greetings Centaurians!

Thank you for your communication and we apologise for the lack of
communication regarding our research progress. Several centuries ago
our prophets predicted the birth of a great Stormian scientist and
advised that we store up commerce in preparation for this great event.
This prophecy has indeed come true, and this Great Scientist founded
an academy, which has greatly increased our research capacity. With
the addition of a library, the savings of the last few centuries are
now being invested into our joint research projects with greater
dividends. We are pleased to inform you that, in the long term, our
joint research rate will be more rapid as a result this forward
                          planning.

We are also happy to announce that our scientists have just discovered
the secrets of Feudalism, and will pass this knowledge on to you next
turn. We also anticipate that scientists working in our newly founded
academy will have knowledge of Paper in a mere four 4 turns. We thank
you for your partnership and continued friendship.

                          Sincerely,

                          The Elders of the Storm

                          • Do we wait to trade for Paper (needed for Guilds)?

                            • No, it smells too much like keeping us quiet.

If we do nothing for 4 turns, move all our military away from their cities and make it obvious we are no treat to them...
=> they will give us paper and promise us something else in a few turns, to keep us quiet a bit longer...
This will go on and on until they see we are an easy prey.

Just accept the deal, tell them we will be glad to receive paper in 4 turns and move in for the kill.

Perhaps they will offer us paper again after we razed their 2 outpost cities...

                              • We need to make an offer for Paper then, since IIRC it wasn't listed as they should transfer it, was it?
