ps, safan, it's PJay, not Jay.

anyway, I'm at work right now, so I can't check, but basically all teams have more land-score than us (about 15 points difference).

Had a look at the endturn. Already got the the pop-up for discovering Animal Husbandry:
            1. There's a horse resource all the way in the northern tundra.
            2. We will indeed become first again with 134 points.

            Some questions:
In the endturn we're working the four hammer mine but not the rice resource (five food and one commerce). Why's that?? Especially with slavery five food is much better than four hammers.
Talking about slavery, will we switch next turn? The time between now and building our second city is ideal.

Also why are we gonna research Iron Working next? I can't find the discussion on that.

There was discussion, I can't remember where it was now. I remember being convinced iron working was better tha nsailing because it gave a more immediate advantage (location info and axemen)

                (We already have axemen.)

I just started wondering: what's the point of the Colossus if we don't research Sailing to make use of it?

3.Yes, we should be switching next turn.

I changed it because i thought shield overflow would benefit more then food overflow, anyways i'll remember to change it back. Sorry if that was an incorrect assumption.

Of course fishing and sailing should be researched before the collossus is finished, that will be more then 20 turns anyways, so iw would give us an overview of the next steps on the long term program. Atm we are not working sea resources yet, so no immediate benefit (our next city is totaly inland)

                    next turn:

                    maximise food again
                    convert to slavery
                    IW as next research
                    forge as next construction
move setter towards our planned spot
move scout towards unexplored area (try to find the banana settler)

To know the locations of iron before we decide the location for our third city.

So, finally, the foreign intelligence update for the latest turn:

=> We went from 9 to 10 tech points due to animal husbandry discovery
=> Sarantium went from 7 to 8 tech points
=> Gathering Storm went from 5 to 6 tech points
=> The merc's capital grew from 2 to 3 pop (24 food in 2 turns time!)

The mercs clearly have used their big food-bonusses to build a worker and settler immediately (they stayed on 1 pop for a very long time). Now they have a crop yield of atleast 12 (someone out there has a crop yield of +16, if we work the rice, we have +13 max)

The tech increase for Sarantium was only 2 turns after their previous breakthrough. Our best rival has a gold production of +13. This gives 14 research/turn (16 /turn if one or-prerequisite is already known). The cheapes techs are 57 points. Even with a full carry-over from the previous tech, 3*16=48 < 57, so I think they can not have researched both of those techs.

As for our scout, he will be 1 turn too late to guard our settler. Do we wait for him or take a shot at moving our settler undefended?

It is early enough and the site is not too far away so I think we could chance it.
