Btw, in some 35 turns the Bananas will see a message "A Great Engineer has been born in Beijing." So they'll know we've had Metal Casting for a long while. And if they don't see us building a wonder the turn after, they'll also know we have Machinery and Cho Ko Nu's.

Impaler, regarding response message - you can tell some of the techs we have but not necessarily imply that they are all our techs like:

'It looks like we'll have a valuable tech trade partner once it's enabled. We would be ready to offer following techs (listed) for your (listed). How does it sound to you?'

If they repeat the query of all our tech status, we tell that we're not sure we want to tell everything about our tech status.

Ok here is the replay, sorry that took so long, I've been having a lot of stability problems with my computer latly.
I keep to the script, absolutly no lies, just omisions, I made a friendly offer to show them any Iron in their territory when we finish IronWorking. I assume no one has a problem with agreeing to their exchanges of contact info seeing as we get one contact now and might never have to give them anything for it. Which of our technologies do you require? Which technologies can you send to us? What would you like our scientists to start studying after Bronze has been mastered? If you like the arrangement, what do you feel is a fair "walk away" condition?

Again I apologise for the tardiness of our response, your women may remove their peels and ritually smoke them in celebration. The high court of the One Yang has been dysfunctional as of late. A new courtier to the imperial throne by the name of Tassadar has brought a new delicacy know as SPAM and it has become quite popular.

Your ABCS is appealing but we request a modification to address a concern of ours. We agree to have all technologies "on the board" for exchange but desired to exchange technologies on an equal cost basis. Thanks to the wise financial policies of our beloved Chairman our kingdom has a strong rate of scholarly inquiry which we expect will continue to improve in the future. Thus we feel that if the situation was agreed upon in its original form we would be excepting a too open ended agreement which might over time become unequal. If this trading principle is agreeable to your wise men then we will consider it agreed upon and can plan our first exchange.

Our tech plan is still unchanged consisting of Metals and Naval strategy with a shoot at an Early Colossus. If team Banana will research Writing and Alphabet then we could perform an exchange with somewhat along these lines. Were currently researching Iron working which is 11 turn from completion, we can again share any Iron sites we find in your territory as their is a scout headed their now.

The discovery of another team is most surprising, our scholars had assumed vast oceans surrounded the whole of our mutual land, beyond which one would sail off the edge of the world and be devoured by the great Python which holds up the World.
