All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

One area that MoF can give significant support is in the more detailed analysis of some of the financial figures. Two things stand out among these

      1) Identifying the gold:science exchange rate and, as a consequence, the comparative advantages offered by different cities in gold and science

      2) Valuing the trade generated from our different trading partners and opportunities for other trades. The relative benefit offered by certain civs might indicate the need for a more active diplomatic stance to protect our trade income.

As for the tech trading moratorium, this is an unnecessary restriction. If it has any effect it will be detrimental since we can always decide not to trade at any given point in time without having the moratorium itself. If there are situation where you don’t think a trade is worthwhile then it would be good to hear your case. However, there are many ways we can use techs to our benefit. If we do not trade, others will anyway so we get left out of the loop. Examples where we might benefit would be by selling cheap techs to backward civs (particularly those that might buy them from others). We get a little extra gold in the bank for giving them something they would probably get soon anyway.

As a rule, I tend to want around 1g per 4 beakers for these sorts of trades to be anything like worthwhile. It may seem like we’re giving stuff away but we’re not really if they would get it anyway. It will also help with some diplomatic relations – though perhaps harm others. MoF advice here would be useful.

Protection of our trade routes (and income): that's the main reason I

        fear any religion conversion.

        Best regards,

          Soooooooo,

Do I need to be sworn in or should I just set up an office and start chrunching numbers?
Yes, negotiations could take some time.

I think we should wait for the official results.

Of course you could start crunching numbers now, just in case

The result is clear anyway so I would go ahead and start acting the role, pending the official result - which I will leave for SCS to declare.

So it's a provisional congrats there Chuckman
