Wow, my IP changed basically every ten minutes starting at about 4am today and going on to, well, now... that's really, really odd.

I'll reload 2360 bc (the first turn that has been having significant down time) when I figure why it's changing this quickly.

Okay, it is reverted to 2360 BC (one full turn ago plus) with 48 hours remaining. Everyone will have to replay their turn unfortunately. We'll see if anything changes here, I moved the DSL modem and router around a bit in case they're overheating or whatnot.

Maybe the C4WDG is just a curse on routers

I brought it down briefly just now to reboot, and have now restarted the game.

It might have been slow during my GF's downloading iTunes videos on Sunday. I'm not sure how much bandwidth iTunes leaves you, but it's probably not that much when you're downloading 3 huge movies at a time

My router just reset due to a short power interruption, likely will change the DNS entry. If it is not accessible in about 15 to 30 minutes from now i'll take it down until it is.

Try again I guess... I took a save just now (12 hours remaining) and will load that in the AM if nobody is able to connect overnight. There may still be periodic slowdowns due to itunes downloads (sigh, I think she has 6 left) so if you have an already slower connection (due to being across the atlantic) that could be causing occasional timeouts. However, I don't think she's been downloading this past hour, so I don't think that was responsible for the timeout above...

65**42***85**227 is the full IP by the way, with normal . . . in there, and then :2063 to connect to the game - if the snoopy369.dyndns.org IP doesn't resolve to that, then your problem is a slow DNS server (though it seemed to update instantly for me, but that may be expected, i don't know that much about DNS servers)...
