Hey, how long is this going to take?

To my experience, which goes back quite a few demogames, this game has taken the longest time to be just set up. I'm probably not the only one who is annoyed to no end by the *****ing and whining here. Every team has had plenty of time to pick a civ and a leader and whatever else and now some teams want to change it AGAIN?!!!

I have a suggestion: either we get this going quickly, or we ask someone of the staff of this site to change this Forum's name to Civ4-Warlords Team Bureaucracy Game. Then at least the name of the game corresponds to the way it is played!

Hilarious, but very sad at the same time..................

I really think we should be spending our efforts trying to convince Elucidus to re-host this game, whatever it takes; or if he really isn't interested any more (and I can't say I blame him) we should be trying to find a new host as soon as possible.

No point in whining about this setting, or that setting, if we haven't got a host even.............

yes I agree to a restart as map is different etc, but stay your course on your choice...

many times in history great civs have splintered into many parts

No changes. We all got exactly the leaders we wanted, now allowing some teams to change will give them an overly large advantage (for instance, the number of civs knowing Mysticism at the start is just one example). It's not as if the map is changing much - we'll still be on some form of archipelago, we're not going to a pangaea or anything (where the different strategy might indeed warrant a leader change).
