Contact, yes - but the need for early defence, no. Changes the dynamics greatly.

Still say we stick with the in-game arch - snaky continents setting.

Have the final game settings not been decided upon already?

Let's please move on to the next stage in the process, civ choice/ leader choice, and team pitboss password.

      Cheers

Let your every day be full of joy, love the child that holds your hand, let your wife delight in your embrace, for these alone are the concerns of humanity.

The SPDG is about to start.............

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Rob - I concur. That is why I was questioning why a new map set-up (using planet generator) was being proposed by Keygen and the admins. My understanding is that we were going with archaepelago-snaky continents as the map.

                  Rob - my bad.

I did indeed receive that email from K, I just missed completely the planet generator part. I saw the map settings closer to the top and then stopped all mental processing.

Thanks for pointing that out and sorry for the kerfuffle over this.

                  My apologies Keygen.

Perhaps the other 3 teams have forgotten, or not checked their email, or their reply got lost. In any event, it probably makes sense to send a message to them again (or get an admin to post something in their private forum) to tell them to get their butts into gear. Seriously, all of these delays could be so easily avoided, and holding everyone up for a few slow responders is just a little annoying.

You could always give an incentive for the teams hurrying up with their decisions, by letting them know that if their civ/leader choices aren't sent in within 48 hours, they're getting a random civ. I think that's fair enough, personally. Why keep all the rest of us waiting for them?

I still have not received the responses from those three teams. I sent them a reminder email. if I don't here anything within 24 hours I will post which teams and maybe the rest of the teams will be able to move them along.
