Should we get our private forums now?

Many of the teams are not formed yet, but I guess Admins can add private forums more when the teams are ready.

You might be right, thought 7 teams do have adequate number of members, but still that doesn't mean the active teams should not get a private forum as soon as they get a final badge for their team, so they can start on early, private discussions on the civilization choice or initial strategy

Yes, the continual sending of group emails, and group replies is hardly conducive to quick, concise discussion. Having a private forum would certainly help matters I think.

My mail box looks a right mess, almost like the butler has gone on strike and no-one is tidying the doormat!!!!

I'll repeat my earlier statements on the matter:

There are 6 teams right now, with 2 others depending on other members joining (unless we have a couple of teams of one person each!). I'll ask the Admins about whether we need all private forums set up at once, or whether more can be added/removed later if need be.

Hey Keygen, will you be organising the names and numbers of private forums as well as the MiniMods for each? I was careful not to traipse on your shoes if that is the case, and all I've done is ask the fAcEz of the gOdz whether they can add/subtract forums as needed, or whether we need to get our act sorted fully before asking about it.

Perhaps we should anyway - have any teams reached a concensus on who their MiniMod(s) will be, as well as who will have the ability to permit members to view their private forums? I suggest you get onto that if you haven't already.

If we look organised now, we can hide our complete lack of it later on

This is a quite interesting concept. I had thought of it long time ago but never had the chance to recommend it to any DemoGame before.

A few civs run but a single person each, something like a dictator or tyrant

The main problem with a one-person team (other than it's not really a team ) is that if that person drops out/goes on vacation/etc, the entire game is held up by them. On other teams, you have backup players. Plus, to a single player, this would just be another PBEM/MP, and that's not really the point of Demogames as I see it.

Dropping out won't be a real problem with PitBoss and I agree that DemoGames are not about single persons runing civs but among 7-8 teams we could fit a couple more single person run civs that would add something different to the DemoGame concept.
