I'm sure the teams that are pro-choice will have a backup...

If two teams choose the same CIV who cares, you can use the world builder to make a game where two players have the same CIV.

Is that really an issue for everyone?

I think having two teams as the same Civ is really not that big a problem.

In fact would be interesting to see how the different teams handled the same civ differently.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

                    Sounds like a plan

Let teams choose who they want, and lets get this dam thing started

                      Sounds reasonable to me.

Everyone is voting "first come first serve", but....

When is serving time? How exactly is "first" going to be determined?

This in my opinion is the most fair way to do it. Teams are randomly selected for pick order. Then they pick what civs they want. Was this the "draft option"? That option looked as if they had predetermined civs to pick from. I say let them all be options.

I say no doubles on civs, but last time i mentioned that I almost got my head bitten off, so ill just be quiet this time.

I might have missed it if you have posted this elasewhere, but why are you so against multiples of the same civ?

How can i say this without sounding like a teenager....

It's just lame? Expecially with how many civs there are to pick from.

I don't know... maybe the gamespy pickup games where 3 people choose shaka on panagea maps, or 3 people choosing Liz on water maps has worn on me.

                              I like varitey.

ahhh well I not play on gamespy, prefering old pbems etc and heaps of variety indeed...

personally i would not reckon we would have to many doubles etc, as indeed there are a lot to pick from

but at least you could allow it in case we get a stale mate on options etc

anyway the point I am trying to make, there are many here, and from many different game playing styles, I would like to see this option remain as it is part of the game, and I believe part of life as we know it
