How do we know the Galleon in Acre has no more movement points? I didn't think you could see that for other civs units.

Not to mention, the ENTIRE PLAN was to have Banana attack The Warning, not us. Honestly, why did I waste 30 minutes talking with this guy if he immediately went off and did his own thing with no regard to what we requested?
Again, I known Donovan is our ally, but jeez man. I hope he can at least tie up PAL for a while before they crush his civ.

well - I guess gifted units lose their movement points. I was thinking about this the other day and you could have 2 teams logged into a pitboss game as follows ...
A moves chariot across border, gifts unit
B moves chariot back across border, gifts unit
A moves chariot back across border, gifts unit
B moves chariot back across border, gifts unit
A moves chariot back across border, gifts unit
etc, etc, etcQuote: "All Happiness is the release of internal pressure"

Whoa there people. Banana moved the damaged Galleon into Acre this turn. The original Galleon was still in situ when I logged out, so it is ready to attack if PAL only has a Spear there when the turn ticks over. He clearly got confused about the whole gifting concept, which can happen next turn for an attack on T174 if PAL has a Spear +1 garrison at the start of T174.
Also, PAL has stationed a Caravel 1S of The Warning. If the one currently in The Warning moves 1SW, we're blocked from attacking. PAL gets Astro on T174, so that's the last turn Banana can afford to have Galleons in the channel (IMO). If he can't attack that turn, I asked him to gift the Galleon and our units back to us, so that we chance our arm with a sneak attack. Also asked him to provide a screenshot of The Warning should things unfold this way.

It's worth noting that if Banana could not spare the additional 3units for the attack on the Warning, then there's no way we could have provided them and still been able to make the attack on t173. Since we didn't gift the city last turn, we would have had to gift the city and the units this turn (which we can still do, right?) they would have to have loaded into the Galleon next turn (t173) and then not been ble to attack until next turn - t174.
As things stand now, we can still gift Acre, Galleon & troops to Banana this turn. Next turn they can move into position, and then still be able to attack on t174. We should probably do this.
Even if PAL block the two tiles with individual Caravels, as long as there are not many troops inside the city itself, an assault could still be made - Galleon vs. Caravel is still a >50/50 battle, and the second should be able to finish off the wounded Caravel if the first fails. We would want to make certain that the troops are either evenly distributed between the Galleons or that the wounded one carries the better troops as the second-wave.

Also, said Galleon is only at 2.4 health, so it's by no means certain to polish off an injured Caravel. So we can do the gifting either T172, or T173, for an attack on T174.
I would hold off on the gifting until next turn because PAL could well be alerted by the gifting of Acre to the chance of an imminent boating. If we're lucky they'll move out all but the Spear from The Warning this turn so that the Banana on the staging tile can attack on T173.

OTOH, if we gift Acre to Banana this turn, then maybe it makes more sense that they have a Galleon stationed in the channel...?

Checked CivStats (as I do waaaay too often, like every couple of hours) and saw the readout:
5:55pm Team Banana score increase to 1037
5:55pm PAL score decrease to 1328
5:55pm Team Banana score decrease to 999
And started fist pumping and whooping it up in my apartment! Good thing no one else is here tonight, or they'd all think I was crazy.
Break out the celebrations bigtime! I think we are now the frontrunners to win this thing.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
