But I voted for (c) because then we get to control the day when Imperio get angry with us. I don't really think Imperio will betray our NAP. Possibly they will, but we can monitor their forces and send most of the draftees to CT and build catapults from the city itself. But I'm betting they won't do that. If we delay the capture of Jerusalem we can take the city and Constantinople and settle some filler cities and defend cape town on exactly the same turn. Hell, maybe we could even send a column of kamikaze knights into their core cities. But I think we want to start the war with Imperio on our terms, when we are ready and when Imperio are unprepared.
While I agree with a lot of what you're saying, I think we should remember that Templars are still in the game. PAL will probably feed them Nationalism and who knows what else just to try and slow us down. I also think that Imperio's statement that they will not get involved in the war before we capture Jerusalem is to ensure that we face the maximum number of Templar's troops, and then Imperio walks over the tattered remnants.

I would suggest that even if we don't intend to capture Jerusalem soon, it will be important to get a sizable blocking force onto the Cow tile to the NE ASAP in order to prevent reinfocements from being pulled in from the other Templars cities. If we sent our non-Cats down right away, we could use the excuse to Imperio that we are waiting for bombard & collateral support before making our move....
