  • MH's draft is good. Just replace last word 'build a workboat' with 'finish a workboat'.

And let's send something now, before they get suspicious.

    • I support the MH draft and think we should send it.

            • Seems a big shame to stab Naldo in the back for the betrayal of those who previously played for Imperio. He seems so cuddly and innocent. Needs must though.

              • I know, I feel bad, and my wife is actually mad at me in real life. She says she would email Imperio to warn them if she knew how

                But what can we do?

                • Anyone know any spanish poetry about betrayal? Something regretful? I really do feel bad about this, maybe something along those lines would at least show our regret...

You share this information with your wife? I just say it is civ4 and she runs screaming from the room. That said, she has her own forums that she plays on ... pricescope anyone?

PS: sunrise - we fully expect you to tell your wife 'lose lips sink ships' and to keep a very close eye on her for the next few days ... physical restraints may be required.

                    • If people are starting to feel too bad about this, don't forget that Imperio has betrayed their Templar allies more than we are betraying them. (At least we aren't collecting most of their GNP as gpt gift while plotting to split their cities with their enemy.) And for that matter they haven't been too faithful to their new RB allies either: not giving us Gunpowder and waiting for us to kill most of Templar units before declaring broke the only two promises they've made to us. (Technically they didn't say when they would declare on Templars, but the implication was "soon", not "eventually".)

                      • technically - they didn't even declare on Templars ... Templars declared on them.

I LOVE pricescope! That plus the girly sounding handle though...maybe I shouldn't be sharing.

My wife knows all sorts of stuff about civ. We have a 1-bedroom apartment, and the PC and the TV are in the same room. Since I play ladder MP games with Teamspeak always running she gets to hear lots of civ-related internet chatter.

                              A spanish civil war poem:

Venis desde muy lejos mas esta lejania
que es para vuestra sangre que canta sin fronteras?
La necesaria muerte os nombra cada dia
no importa en que ciudades, campos o carreteras.

De este pais, del otro, del grande, del pequenyo
del que apenas se el mapa da un color desvaido
con las mismas raices que tiene un mismo suenyo
sencillamente anonimos y hablando habeis venido

                              Rafael Alberti
                              Spoiler:
You come from very far away.. But this distance,
What is it for you blood which sings without borders?
Necessary death names you each day,
no matter in which cities, fields, or highways.

From this country, from the other, from the large one, from the small one,
from the country to which the map barely gives its faded color,
with the same roots, sharing the same dream,
so simply anonymous and speaking out you have come.

You do not even know the color of the wall
                              that your insurmountable commitment fortifies
You defend the earth that buries you, secure
in a shoot out with death, dressed for battle.

Stay; this is how the trees, the plains,
and the smallest particles of light would want it - reviving
a single feeling that the sea tosses forth:Brothers!
Madrid, with your name, shines with greatness
She said 'Your nose is running honey' I said 'Sorry but it's not'

                              • I tried to compose a more personal poem in Spanish. I call it:

                                Lamento (by MiOtroCoche)

                                Lamento que teniendo sulfuro
Lamento que teniendo mierda del pájaro
Lamento que teniendo carbón de leña
Porque lamento que no conseguí secreto en cómo mezclar

                                Y ahora, amigo,
                                Lamento tu Amistad
Y tu ser parte del Imperio
                                Lamento el dolor inflijo
Porque lamento que debo tu restituar

                                Which translates into:
                                I regret having sulphur
I regret having bird **** (poop)
                                I regret having charcoal
Because I regret not getting the secret of how to mix (it)

                                And now, friend,
                                I regret your friendship
And you’re being part of Imperio
I regret the pain I inflict
Because I regret I have to repay you
