Hey, don't worry about it sunrise. I nearly got Betty Hur killed against a barb axe earlier in the game (50/50 battle) on a stupid movement, and if we had lost that we would have had no Heroic Epic, and probably would have been killed by Imperio/Templars. So certainly don't beat yourself about one minor misclick, especially since the diplo with Imperio looks to be turning the corner now. I think it's even money whether Templars even bother to attack - there's a good chance they'll think it's a trap, and they probably want to keep moving their stack towards Something Fishy anyway, not divide it up.

On topic, we sure could use some courthouses in a lot of those suggested cities. With our cheap Organized courthouses, we've really been letting one of our strengths go to waste by not building more of them. (Yeah, yeah - we've been at war, I know! But if Imperio signs peace with us, now could be a good time to get a few of them done, and they would do a lot to cut down our spiraling maintenance costs. )

I agree Sullla - if we declare peace with Imperio, we should emphasize missionaries and then courthouses everywhere. By the time we've spread Islam everywhere and we have courthouses in each city (and the Forbidden Palace built?) the diplo situation will tell us whether we should go back to all military or finish infrastructure builds with forges and observatories.

Short heart stopping moment. PAL quadrupel-whipped!

But it was The Warning. Phew. That can't be the Taj.

I think we might just get away with the Camilla mis-click, seeing as it could look like a delaying tactic to lure them away from SF.

I note that Saxon still lacks a military policeman: can we get either Persephone, or the warrior up there soonish? Also, we can move the MP out of Green Acres next turn, given Globe will be complete. She would be useful in Pink to off-set the whip anger we've had to stack up there.

Once we have nationalism or have peace with Imperio, we don't need the warrior on that spot. He can go back to Airstrip One and Persephone can head to Saxon.

Yeah, Xena the warrior will head there eventually. I was just inspired by the domestic micro-goodness of the team and did a little of my own. We don't actually NEED MP happiness for a few more turns, so I decided to make use of the units to cover Red Herring until we were actually a turn or two from the city actually going unhappy.

EDIT: The silly Templars must be planning on moving at the last second again, as if it matters one bit...only Imperio has something to gain by doing that.

What's even weirder about Templars is that they haven't logged in at all this turn, so they'll have to decide what to do about Camilla almost immediately.

Once Tempars time is up, I think we should offer peace to Imperio in-game.

Templars are logged in now. Can someone take a screenshot at 16:00 exactly to make sure they don't move after that?

I think we can allow them to move their units now they've logged in. They've left it late again though! Good old templars

I'll log in after they've finished and take some screenshots + post some worker recommendations.

                    • I don't agree Soooo....as soon as it's 15:59:59 they shouldn't get any more moved. Otherwise we can stay logged in as well and move during Templars' time.

                      • Either way, Templars have moved. They split their spear off and killed Camilla They moved their stack onto the mined grassland hill, where our combat 1 knights have 63% without any cats being used. With the odds so good we should discuss whether we want to just cat and hit the stack next turn...we will have three cats and 4 knights, including a combat II one. We should either hit next turn or in three turns when our two additional knights arrive.

                        • Sounds like we should hit it.

                          • Looks like we need to do some simming. We should take it to the Pink Dot thread - I'll take some screenshots to show the armies.

Camilla may have died but she put up a great fight - the spearman is on less than 1 health and can be killed by anyone.

                            • Alright, worker actions. I'm going to assume that the 3 desert-roaders are free to use for a couple of turns. If they aren't then no biggie.

3 Desert Roading workers move into and chop one of the two forests outside the BFC of Cape Town (into a forge it starts next turn). The turn after they can either chop the other forest or start Upper Burgundy's farm (or both).

Syme and Parsons - either they are used for roading around Pink Dot or they start a new cottage at Mellow Yellow. Don't chop any Pink Dot forests until the city gets a missionary.

In the North, everyone keeps chopping except Dangerous Dave who can move 1N and finish the silk plantation. I have plans for the other 3 workers at BW but they can wait until next turn.

The two workers at Green Acres continue to farm the farm that has been started. No need to send any more workers here - 2 should be enough to get the job done.

                              • With the destruction of the Templars army imminent and all their other troops tied up in military police duty, we should get that settler for the spot east of SF going as soon as possible. Can we get it started in Something Fishy after the cat with a workboat built in mellow yellow before the courthouse?

That city spot will be a commerce monster down the road.
