OK, that's enough agreement, can someone volunteer to log in, move the units and hit End Turn.

May as well delay the civics change until either we hear that PAL have finished the Taj or we build the wonder ourselves.

Small Summary of Plans (and assuming I am reading the threads correctly) ...

      Globe finishes on T153
Taj Mahal finishes at the end of T154

So, at the start of T155, we swap civics and start drafting up a storm.

Not quite Ruff, We are due to have finished the Taj at the start of T154. The chops are completing on T153. Of course if PAL finish the wonder on T153 then we can revolt that turn.

        The 3 branches are:

        1) We get the Taj and revolt on T154. We draft that turn.
        2) PAL gets the Taj on T153. We could revolt on that turn and be drafting on T154.
        3) PAL gets the Taj on T154 and wins the coin flip. We revolt T154 and start drafting on T155.

This is right Soooo. Good catch, sorry I missed it. Lets just hope they don't move in this turn

I have 90 minutes left on the timer right? I can definitely move the units in that amount of time.

This does make things tricky if Imperio and Templars start working together (I know, LOL and all that). Imperio could shift their stack and some workers around and hit Jericho. How much longer before M_H gets us our tile back at Chichen? Would it be worth building the Hermitage there since we have the marble bonus?

As soon as the next ring pops we'll be beating their culture. Last time I checked it was in the 10-20 turn range for that to happen, but we will increase our culture output with the HE getting its culture doubled soon and we could hire an artist if we go mercantilism. Hermitage is too expensive - a stele is much cheaper .

We built the HE in 150BC. So the culture doubles after 1000years = 850AD (T152/T153). That will bring down the 3rd ring pop to around T160. From then on we are putting way more culture onto that tile than Chichen Itza. However, that does not automatically mean it flips that very turn to us, as Imperio is building up a little lead on it until T160.

Also, Imperio's lead in tile culture production now is considerably more than our lead later. While both cities have 3rd ring culture, Imperio outproduces by 23 to 9. When Cape Town expands with doubled HE, we'll outproduce by only 33 to 23. It will take quite some time to reclaim that tile again.

(if I've counted that right. Chichen has 2 from a doubled monument + 1 from religion? And Cape has 2 from Creative + 3 from theater + 4 then 8 from HE.)

Hmm...pehaps we should build a Stele after the knight completes then.

@ T-Hawk: Chichen has only 2 from doubled monument. No religion culture (Chichen is Christian, Imperio is Islam).
Assuming we get the HE doubler around T154 and also an Mercantilism artist the same turn, we are looking at reclaiming the tile around T168. If we build a stele (25% multiplier will be obsolete with Astronomy!) we bring that down to T164. (edit)

I probably prefer to get an Islamic Missionary in there (for Org Religion bonus and +1culutre) and then build some "better" infrastructure than a stele.

My preference would be a Stele and an Islamic Missionary. I don't think we want to get any other buildings in the city, units are too valuable. And I don't know if an artist is worthwhile...and engineer gives us hammers that double, right?

Er, not unless the city has a forge. But I was thinking that when we have some spare worker turns we should chop the two forests outside the BFC go get a forge into the city.

Definitely! I thought it already had a forge.

Can we use two of the workers completing the desert roads?

Don't we have a de-facto cease fire in place with them ?

Regarding the culture builds: let's just start with a missionary for now. I'm not a big fan of building a culture building that goes obsolete.
