  • I miss you guys!

List of players who signed up for the game but haven't posted in a while, or have posted very little:

    -Compromise
    -Darreljs
    -Kodii
    -Kylearan
    -Quack
    -The Archduke

Of course life throws lots of different circumstances at us, and I don't mean this to call anyone out at all; I merely want to let anyone who is still lurking and may come across this thread know that the game is getting more and more interesting and any input you may have is certainly welcome.

PS - My apologies if one of you made like 50 posts in the last month

Oh, trust me, I'm fully caught up and following every detail as the plot thickens and thickens... and I'm not big on posting because I rarely have anything to input.

Even if you have nothing to say besides "I agree", or "good job, turnplayer", such comments are helpful because the first kind makes people feel more confident about they decisions, and second kind just makes diplomats, turnplayers, etc feel appreciated.

        Hi,

I'm still browsing this forum every day, but don't have the time to think really deep thoughts about the game. My casual thoughts are almost always covered better already by somebody else when I read the forum in the morning...but I'll try to post some "I agree" or "good job, turnplayer" posts from time to time.

Yeah...I read the turnplayer thread to keep up with what's going on, but other than the odd ball suggestion I don't have time right now to do much of anything civ wise (I even missed Adventure 35, which I was dying to play).

            Kodii, Kylearan, Darrell:

Thanks for responding to the thread. I definitely echo Zevis above - so much of this game relies on consensus and collective wisdom that even one-line posts can help a lot. That said, I'd much rather have you as skilled lurkers than not here at all.

              I agree.

              Good job, diplomat!

                Hi guys,

Seems like I have finally found my way into this forum to lurk, read and perhaps comment at an auspicious time. I think I tried to join with my name TheArchduke before, but that account actually did not work out too well.

As not to clutter any other threads, I use this post to show that I am here and I am willing to help the team. For now I will keep in the background a bit, but feel free to contact me if you guys need help with anything.

I have read all turn summaries and most threads and it looks like you guys have a lot of fun.

                Cheers,
                TheArchDuke (shortened to TAD)

I have a lot of fun, despite the map being horrible, the opposing teams being starved of members, and the lack of time preventing me from logging into the actual game. Still, it's fun!

Well I feel pretty good - my thread has drawn out 4 of my 6 names. Anyone seen Compromise and Quack

Compromise disappeared after T-Hawk laid into him for Adventure 30 . You could argue that was a coincedence . Qwack dropped out of the RBtS7 succession game about midway through...I got the impression he was pretty much burnt out.

Link? to the laying into, I mean.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Thanks sunrise...it really wasn't as harsh as I remembered it. Certainly not enough to leave the CIV community, but the timing of his disappearance was coincident.

I totally missed T-Hawk's comments on that game. I'll now mentally adjust my view on his comments about one of my games as getting off easy .

                              for ref ...

"I admit to being more than a bit skeptical of Ruff's sponsoring style. I feel that the hush-hush smarter-than-thou attitude isn't appropriate for RB. We thrive on discussion and community, not secrets and mysteries. Why would one leave out of the info page basic info like the rules options (Unrestricted Leaders), which can be seen right away in the game anyway? Still, I wasn't going to let that stop me from at least seeing what the game was all about."

But, from memory, I think T-Hawk enjoyed that particular game and we had a pretty good back and forth discussion about style.
