I agree. And if Imperio's warrior hasn't moved yet, they might go directly south, so we'll have to move archer and settler at the start of next turn.

I agree with Ruffs plan, as we loose nothing and play it safe.
If it were not for that woodsmanII promo we could have moved settler & archer on the same tile Tarzan sits on now. But, we loose nothing as Ruff said.

Settler and archer moved as requested. Thanks for seeing a move I didn't.

So I believe the plan is to build another workboat at China Beach after the other one and whip it once CB reaches Size 2 (in 2-3 turns IIRC).

I think also that the plan calls for it to sail eastwards to explore and also net Cape Copper's clams. How many turns about will it take to get to the other continent?

Ideally we'd like to have met the other civs in-game by the time we get Alphabet, so we have more trading options (since there's no WFYBATA).

Also ideally, it would be nice to strengthen the civs on the other continent rather than the ones on our own, all other things being equal

Next time I am logged in, I can run a few numbers. I would think the plan could be for the 2nd workboat to sail towards and net Cape Coppers clams. Cape Copper could start on a workboat right away, this then could be used for further scouting east.

            EDIT:
Ok, we are currently in T66. We will settle Cape Copper approximately on T72. If CC starts a workboat immediately and works the unimproved/later mined copper it will finish the workboat around T81.
The 2nd workboat our of China beach will also arrive at CC's clams around that turn if I am not totally off with my estimates.
So either way we will have a workboat ready to sail further east from CC around T81. The journey to reach the other continents NW corner takes 12 turns.
So the earliest date we could meet any of the other two missing civs would be around T92. 26 turns from now.

Ideally we want a second scout boat heading south down the channel (while the 1st scout boat goes east) to clear the trade routes towards PAL, Imperio and ultimately Templars.

Now the questions is do we trust workboats with those tasks and run the risk to loose them against barb galleys?
An option would be to go for a galley in CC instead of a workboat. This will delay the whole scouting by around 4 turns.

4 turns for a galley instead of a WB - that is an easy decision - GALLEY!

I am not an expert on the number of barb galleys, but I agree that Galley seems like a safer choise for scouting.

Even better, Sharon can hop in the galley and help explore the eastern continent.

In the agreed actions thread it says Sharon is going to a desert hill to watch over Templar / Imperio actions.

I'm not sure where that hill is, but I think Sharon should shadow the Imperio settler. As someone pointed out in another thread, if they settle on the coast to the NE of Capetown, that is going to affect our trade route to the east (or even if we can get there w/o OB).

The sooner we know that the better

Jennifer (our warrior) is going to shadow the Templar holkan/settler pair. I will mention this again in more detail in the next turn report.

Your idea is definitely correct though.
