I would like our northern scout to run over and see if he can see anything from the icey north ...

The Eastern most tile might show another Civ. It probably won't, but it might.

This sounds good, but what about heading west first to see if Imperio missed any huts in their back yard?

Whatever we do, lets make sure the scout is out of the northern wilderness before Mutal pops the 4th ring (on turn 76 the latest) and blocking us off.

EDIT: I have to correct this. I think there is a tiny diagonal corridor left for movement.

Imperio has only on warrior as far as we can tell.
I would assume it is either still somewhere in the south exploring or back in Mutal on guard duty, so any missed huts should still be there.

((IF the warrior is still in the south AND we find a hut left over that would give us a warrior we could rush them straight away ))

It looks like there will still be a passage even after that border pop, but we'll probably be out of there by then anyway. So I think the plan is to check for huts, then explore northwestern coastline.

Is the southern scout not going to check out the land south of Templars? I noticed it is going back north towards Imperio again.

Since the southern scout is already close to Imperio, and northern scout will be busy in the north, I directed the southern scout to make a detour to find Imperio's military resources. We might not need this information right away, but it's good to have for the future.

Given the latest intel from PAL ...

Our island is made up of us, Banana and Rabbit, we are the only team that has access to your island and also the only team to be placed on the west coast of the island - Therefore it is pretty unlikely you will meet the other 2 teams until caravels.
... this might be a waste of scouting turns.

Someone with the game or a better map might check, but couldn't we send a workboat over there to meet the other 2 civs? Possibly we would need OBs with PAL but possibly not, depending on the map config

look at the screenshot threat - it is easy to get between the two islands with a galley or workboat - we just need a coastal city.

From what I can see we need also a Open Border pact with Templars, as the northern coast is probably blocked by ice.

Check the screenshot in the turnplayer thread. I think it's possible to get through diagonally, but I am not sure how ice works. Can somebody confirm?

Yep, the ice revealed so far looks fine.
I just fear the situation is worse further up north east.
                          Fingers crossed.

So given (if we continue to aggressively move towards the Templars) that we are going to be in conflict with them, is it worth making any more warriors (better vs. quechua than an archer)?

IMO, yes. They're cheaper, they are better against Quechas, they work great as city garrisons/MP, the fog bust just as well.
