Sorry is you guys consider this spam, but this is the highest concentration of SANCTA guys that exists. Something very interesting came up over there, so you may want to check out the private forum on CFC.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.
You will actually see a few faces from the RB team within SANCTA.

The above. 5 team FFA on some weird map Sullla designed. You're welcome to join us if you want, just ask in the sign up thread to join SANCTA and PM Ginger-Ale that you want to join SANCTA, and you'll be with us in no time at all.

"Team SANCTA" – or, in long form – "The Super Awesome Ninjas – Cult of the Triple Alliance."
A team so awesome that it is currently in a 3v1 (or is it 4v1) fight for its life.

SANCTA has the same problem as Team RB in this game, just too awesome for its own good. (Although as map creator I am not supposed to take sides, I sympathize with their situation in the CivFanatics Demogame.)
I joined SANCTA but I have to say it is rather intimidating to find out the history of your game. I now sympathise with late arrivals to our boards . I wish there were Sullla-style state-of-the-empire threads but that's asking a lot
Eh. I'll write one latter. Middle of exams atm. Kinda why I'm not *****ing that much atm. This is a fairly short summary of the first 55 turns of that game though[/url], but the Played Turns thread shows pictures and infomation of the entire game so far, with 0 commentary (if you don't mind waiting until later next week that should do; or just ask questions somewhere on that board (doesn't matter where) and me or Memphus will answer them pretty damned well). Ultimately no one cares what happens where, so long as somehting happens.
PS. Chemists = masochists. sooooo, where did you study, if you don't mind me asking?

Technically I'm still studying - I am writing up my phd at the moment. Have a job starting in august so I need to submit fairly soon. I'm in cambridge. Are you a chemist too?
Yeah...Durham, 3rd year, soon to be PGCE student so long as I get a 2:2. Just an organic/inorganic chemist though. No maths (if anyone would believe it...)
I pity you...research
I wonder if we could get a demogame bar crawl together. Could be interesting.

Yep, I've forgotten pretty much all of my maths from my undergraduate days. I do organic synthesis, working in a lab all day and that's what I'll be doing for my job. It's good fun, honest!
My wife did a pgce but she's going to give up teaching after 4 yrs to look after our 1.5 year old (and there is another bun in the oven ...)
