Hi Krill! How's it going? I have some questions for you. Feel free to answer none, all or some.

    1) After the game, is it usual for the private forums to be opened to the public or do they stay private?

    2) Are you enjoying your roles of historian and arbiter, or do you wish you were playing?

    3) As a demogame veteran, what do you think about the way RB operates?

    4) What do you think of the map?

    5) At what date will Imperio attack and where will they do so?

Ah, damn, I really want to answer those but don't know if it's OK...

Ah, **** it, it's a game, I may not explain some reasoning because it alludes to things in this game, but otherwise, I'll take the bait.
      1. On poly, normally the fora stay closed unless the team want their own opened. However...I'm going to deal the dirty on every team whether they want their forum opened or not, and critique each teams play style, domestics, demographics, warfare and diplomacy, and individual players (well, the major players at least). So the major parts of important game decisions made in team threads is going to be quoted in the historians report (I'm going to compile it over the summer, after exams and before I start by PGCE course). I will push for all forums to be openned, but I'm not influential enough to do it by myself. (And as an aside, I don't mind it if posts that are heated/flames are posted in private forums and are released without editing; I expect my posts in the current MTDG to stand the test of time, and god knows some of those are insulting...)

      2. It's...interesting. I've never done it before, and it's something I'd tell every player who has lead a demogame team to try and do after finishing a demogame, because it provides you with multiple teams to learn from, and you also have previous knowledge that can be used to the benefit of everyone taking part in the game, so it's a win/win. I know it's taught me a few things, and even if this does sound arrogant, I knew alot about CIV and demogames before I took the historian role. If you want to make sure, join SANCTA and go and check out how many of my predictions have been right so far...

I'm not sure if I would have ben happy playing in this game; you guys know how each team stands right now, and even if I had led Gathering Storm here, I couldn't have lead them past October, which means they would have been another Banana, gradually disbanding into the mists of time. I don't speak Spanish and clan rivalries preclude me from joining PAL, so that wouldn't be fun. I would enjoy playing with RB in a future demogame, but that's because I know that mixing my skills with those on this team would basically break the entire game (those here that are also part of SANCTA, and Sullla in particular, might comprehend the beginnings of that, but it actually goes a fair bit deeper than you can imagine). I've seen a few people on this team...appropriate some of my ideas posted in that private forum and suggested them here, so I suppose they're already proxies, in as much as anything that I would teach to people in this game I am already teaching to people over in the MTDG, although I'm not able to shout and scream when people **** up and I've known it would happen for 40 turns.

      3. Personally, I find it difficult to keep conversations in different threads separate, because all strategy to me fits one single puzzle, and the solutions are constantly changing. On the whole though, you are organized like the majority of teams I have seen play, apart from some of the massive teams that had over 50 active members (ISDG teams).

      4. You guys have your own opinions, and I can't fairly offer mine because I know more about hte map than you. Surficed to say though, that I know exactly how each team could have played the near optimal start and where they shold be right now, and because of that I probably have good judgement of the teams, and a very good idea of the map maker (his name is noted and he will never be a map maker again in a demogame. That makes 4 that I know of who I would out right reject as map makers and 2 I would give specific instructinos to next time if they were to make a map so their crazed minds don;t run riot in the worldbuilder).

      5. I already told you, I don't speak Spanish.

Thanks Krill! I'm glad to read your thoughts about the map. BTW: what is SANCTA?

SANCTA is the most awesome team in the CivFanatics MultiTeamDemoGame.

You will actually see a few faces from the RB team within SANCTA.

Thanks for posting, Krill! And for the record, I will probably be doing something similar with the CivFanatics Demogame after it closes, although maybe not to the same level of depth/detail.

I have personally learned a great deal (read: stolen ) from seeing how five different teams operate on the same map, and that's definitely affected some of the things that I've suggested in this game.

I might be being a bit dense, but I cannot see mention of SANCTA on that link mostly-harmless. Is is a private forum?

Ah,yes of course, you will have to register in the general sign up thread, if you are interested:
You both should now have access to each team's private forum, so enjoy the game. :) Welcome to CFC, Ribbajack!

In case you are joining any teams, keep in mind that players from other ApolytonDemoGame-Teams are playing together in new constellations over there (RB, Rabbits & Banana players in Team SANCTA for example)

Yeah, if anyone wants to go and join SANCTA, that'd be cool, only 1 request though: post, spam, whatever. Any idea is better than no idea, even if it gets shot down

[action=Krill]pokes at those already part of SANCTA[/action]
