We have an idea.

We wish to tempt you away from making your proposed machinery/feudalism deal with Imperio. If you continue to research feudalism and go ahead with our feudalism/engineering trade, then we will make a gift to you at a later date. We are not sure which tech we will research after engineering, but we will be almost certainly be able to gift one of the following: Paper, Philosophy or half the beakers to Education.

Thus you can make the trade with Imperio and receive feudalism (you would save 1000 beakers). Alternatively you could spend 1000 beakers on feudalism to gain knowledge of engineering and another 1000-1300 tech from us, which should be a gain of 1300-1600 beakers. There are additional benefits: Firstly you gain the ability to trade feudalism to other teams. Imperio are not talking to PAL and will probably not trade feudalism to Templars since they border them. You could trade it to both of those teams. By researching feudalism you could potentially multiply your investment many times over. Secondly you earn our goodwill. We are enjoying this RB-Banana relationship because you are always prompt to reply to emails we think this is very useful in a demogame. You may find Imperio to not be the most helpful of teams, let's put it that way.

I think we should send Banana a general advice email as I suggested a while back, esp as he was wants to run Serfdom which would be asking for trouble seeing as he's not SPI. Add to the list:

- Workers: 1 per city, 1.5 per jungle city. Whip them for two pop as much as you can.

I agree with Kylearan and mostly_harmless. Info like additional city maintenance costs isn't too intuitive. Building workers and whipping should be more or less figured out by any competent player.

Rather than talk about builds/micro stuff, we should send a quick message to Banana saying, "Hey, checking in on you guys. Have you heard anything from Templars about the research triangle we suggested? They haven't responded to us yet."
