PAL declared war and attacked our stack with 3 war chariots. We lost 2 chariots and our barb cutter axe. No War Chariots are in sight atm, only a PAL axe on the grass hill.

I guess the strategy failed.

We haven't sent any response to their mail since the new management took over... at least, not as far as I know.


Further more, I need to hear opinions what we're going to do with our axestack now. Continue, or retreat? And to where?

As on the possibility to have alliance/whatever talks with Imperio, remember that most likely it was Imperio who gave PAL such a huge tech leap over the last 10 or so turns.

I think a strategic retreat is in order. We need to figure out how to proceed. And OB with Imperio probably isn't to our advantage now, but why would they back PAL? It would make more sense for them to back us and/or banana against PAL, wouldn't it? Assuming they're playing a machiavellian game here...

Hopefully they do what UnO told us not to, attack one of our cities. If they start pillaging we need guys that can come out of the cities to take advantage of weakness where we find it, yes? If so, we might should pull back and wait upon a mistake while we build the strength needed to exploit it.

Ok, help me here.

Is there a mechanic in BTS that would have made this news to us? Previous CIV games, we should have been able to tell if they had ponies or not by the trade screen.

It shows up in the trade screen. But it seems like we didn't look there...
