After Currency is discovered, civs can see one another resources in the diplobox. We can see Imperio's resources, which tells me they have Currency (successor tech of Mathematics, which they have too).
We can't see PAL's resources yet in the diplobox, and learns me they're researching Mathematics as we speak (although slow).

The only other way to see what resources PAL has, is to own a complete map of PAL territory and look what goodies are in it.

EDIT: okay, looking at Zoid's reaction there's another screen which gives that info. Obviously I didn't look there.

Eh, it is past. Interesting game mechanic for the future though.

For now, as Chuckman suggested, spearmen, pull back, try to get to add to their troubles.

This turn is finished, and the civil part of turn 94 is done. Which means the only thing I couldn't do is moving the axes because PAL is supposed to play before us.

Btw, I checked, and there's no way we could have known PAL had horses. Nor the diplomatic screen, nor the resources screen shows resources on them and Banana. They do show for Imperio.

Does that really matter now we're retreating? PAL's had a free shot already...
