  • Turn 70 - 1200 BC

A new turn, a new update.

    Let's start with some stats.

O yes, PAL still researches Alphabet at a measly rate of 1 /turn. 410 turns at present... and they are whipping citizens like the plague, there score keeps jumping up and down.

    Caerbannog...

Forgive me the graphics, I switched to Chuggi's terrain art.

The worker is going south to lay a road and chop a forest for the settler production after the lighthouse.

Goes along nicely. We'll have a citizen when the city grows though. Nothing we can do about that, except switching civics...
O yes, I was wrong in my estimation of the cultural expansion. A few more turns to go... (I'm used on a Quick(er) speed so...)

        Aachen

Quite the Monumental city, isn't it?
Workers are queued for a road, and the axe is due west/northwest to barb territory.

Thumper(?) came on top of his barbarian counterpart. 2 turns to heal.
The other warrior is checking out those tasty yellow borderlines before turning to a more northern course in barb territory.

I marked a possible settling spot for our next settler. At least, it seems to me most of us are in favour of establishing our border cities first?
This spot has cow, rice and stone in its full citycross, so it would need a monument/library too the soonest.

Can we see them on the power graph yet?

Also - do we want to contact Banana and see what we can find out from them?

I would be happy to do so, something along the lines of:

            Salutations Smokers of the Peel

We find the behaviours of the peoples who seprate us on the land, but not in spirit, unusual and confusing.

We hope that the Great Banana still smiles upon your land, and that your women are not wearing peels on their feet.

We will find any illumination you may shed on our neighbours appeeling.

All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

For what it is worth - I think the southern coastal site should be settled first.

Yes, the south first and immediately after the north one.
And we need to research agriculture.
                Best regards,

Yes. I'll include a screenshot of it next time.
Last time I checked, we were on top in power.

If someone seconds you in contacting , I'll include it in the next diplomatic package out.

You can see that on the topmost part of the OP's screenshot.
But to safe your pointy finger a click, its Iron Working with 13-15 turns to go.
I'm not sure about the final research time because of pop growth, citizen swiching and income loss and such.

Okay, fed and Nugog are in favour of the southern spot. I'm inclined to go with them.
IIRC, I heard two others advocate the northern spot, and another voice or two for establishing our borders with PAL first.

                      What's it gonna be, people?

I'ld need a larger view of the situation to vote. But, I think we should do both rapidly.
