  • Turn 48 - 2080BC

    Let's start with a three-in-one shot:

Warhammer is on his way to Caerbannog which will finish the barracks next turn, while our restless worker awaits new orders.

Not much new here. Progress as slow as ever.

        Buttercup...

... meets new, pinky, neighbours. It looks like our mapmaker ensured everyone will eventually get stone(d).
Perhaps he has a silent wish to see abundant castles and walls in the game.
One thing is sure, he's far from the warrens from the look of the minimap...

          Things to do:
          • Lancer can start on composing a new "welcoming" message.
          • Caerbannog needs citizen reshuffling: 3 to 5/2. The Settler is already in the production list. 6 turns as it looks now.
          • Checking beaker slider with tech rate and treasure spending after the citizen replacement.
          • Worker needs a new task, Warhammer and Buttercup must be moved. Dandelion must be voted over (again ).

          What I propose on moves:
          • Warhammer moves 8 and guard.
          • Dandelion moves 8 and 9 or 7.
          • Worker starts on a road on the cow pasture.
          • Buttercup moves 3 and 7.
He who knows others is wise.
He who knows himself is enlightened.

            *cough* WHIP *cough*

Seriously, DB needs a whip asap.

1 whipping a worker puts it's regrowth at 7-8 turns. We're already stagnate at 2 pop anyway. Whip now, in 10 turns we'll have a worker, 2 pop, and connected copper.

Building manually, we only get 2 pop and a worker.

Disclaimer: I can't see actual hammer counts. this argument is valid for at least the next 3 turns.

              How about:

"Salutations to the worshippers of the Great Banana!

Our bunny has hopped far through forgien lands, bringing you gifts of carrots and cabbages.

We trust that you find our gifts appealing.

May the Great Banana shine its yellow fruitiness upon your nation for all time.

              The Whispering Rabbit."

Just a general greeting - using some of the elements of roleplay they will enjoy.

While it is a pleasant greeting - it offers no promise of anything and leaves the ball in their court.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

                Sounds like a plan.

                  Nugog's greeting sounds just right.
We will need to switch to the Slavery civic to whip.
Yes, negotiations could take some time.

I think whipping is not yet possible in a 2 pop city with 9 turns production to go...

But, what turn does it become possible?
