Still like Charlemagne, but could favor Willem or Joao too. Depends on what people want to do.

        Stalin.

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Sooo... we have a persistent wannabe ethnic killer, a roaming barbarian, an exploratory king and a uniting emperor as choices sofar... Heck, I still go for the uniting emperor any day.

I was always partial to Carthage, but would like to learn more about other civs and leaders.

Gotta admit though, when I think of Stalin a rabbit isn't the first thing that comes to mind.

                  That could change.

I say we have to at least be Expansive as this part fits in with the theme brilliantly. Out of the 7 Expansive leaders my shortlist would be:

                    Suryavarman (Exp/Cre)
                    Pacal II (Exp/Fin)
                    Joao II (Exp/Imp)

Unfortunately, I have run out of time to put forward my arguement now as I have to dash off to work!!! Some Rabbits also have to bring home the bacon!!!

Ah, Suryavarman! There's a wild card. Early supermarket ability with the bayars (sp?), but unfortunately we need a good amount of luck for the ballista elephant.

Looking at your list, 't seems like you're in favor of a BtS leader, FeMme?

Well I suppose it does. I still think of the BtS leaders as being new and interesting as I haven't played them to death yet!!!

                          Stalin gets my vote.

However - out of FeMme's list I would lean towards Pacal II for no other reason than trait combo.

Having a Fin leader can be an enormous advantage in these games.

                            I favor Pacal as well.

Mmm, choosing Pacal would almost certainly force us on a Great Lighthouse+Colossus strategy to get the most out of financial trait.
It's so obvious that other teams might find it easy to thwart us on that route.

Ah, if only we could have Pacal with the Portugese civ.
