Hey, don't have sympathy for me.
This is the guy that told me I would never make a decent husband or father, after all. (I was not of the proper faith for his daughter to marry)
Then threatened to disown my wife and boycott the wedding when we tried to buy a house a month before our marriage.
Ended up spending a year in an apartment because of that, then bought essentially the same house for $30000 more...
Yeah, that 30k wouldn't have been usefull for newlyweds...

My sister in law Stephanie has succumed to a long battle with cancer today.
I will be going back home for the funeral - and will be out of contact for about a week.I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.Comment

Nugog my thoughts will be with you and your family, we lost my sister in law to breast cancer ten years ago, life never was the same again
My wife was the younger by 6 years and suffered immensely from the strains of grief, it is at these times in your life you truly learn to be a man and to be a pillar for others to lean on, no matter how much you are hurting inside yourself.
My only advice that will be of any use to you is to always take a deep breath, never answer any situation hastily for you will be facing many emotions and be seeing different behaviours and facets to those closest to you, many times you will perhaps be shocked or astounded, i dont know but i do know from bitter experience that time heals and those left after a tragedy can learn to live again.
