The first alleged double move is too late to be investigated and should have been brought up at the time. I don't think it justifies a tit-for-tat double move from PAL because they never verified for sure that it was a double move by posting in a public forum. If 24 hours had elapsed then indeed it was not a double move.

It should be possible to conclude (via krill) if PAL made a double move this turn. If they did, what is the punishment? Was one set out before the game started?

Well the tracker being down is not helpful.

The bottom line is they are picking strings because they are in a precarious situation.

I don’t have any motivation to continue this discussion.

It was meant to be a fun game; but the game constantly being down/delayed and therefore impossible to know how long until turn flip; combined with this ridiculous situation has killed it for me.

The game has become a joke … Banana have been inactive for god knows how long … Rabbit do not even have the base technologies, god knows what they have been doing all game … And we are 90ish turns in after 10 months!

As I pretty much make up all of PALs active team, you can take this post as our resignation from the game.

We may want to take anything said by tonyciv4 with a gain of salt. tonyciv4 joined Apolyton on 12/30/2008.
Yes, negotiations could take some time.

It looks to me like Rabbits did stay logged in after finishing T93, and the question is whether they killed the warrior before the required 24hrs had elapsed for PAL to start their turn. From mostly harmless's post it would appear not as PAL completed their turn less than 5hrs after it started.
          T94 - 525BC:
Turn starts at 12/21/08 5:55 am
          Rabbits are still logged in
Rabbits accusingly double moved, killing a PAL warrior.
PAL finish their turn at 12/21/08 10:20 am
PAL have admitted their double move. Can Rabbits prove that they did not make a double move?

Maybe you can edit the screenshots, deleting resources, cities, etc? Otherwise we'd need to wait for Krill to return.

... and is not listed in the PAL team roster. So what?
From what I have seen during this whole game, a long history with Apolyton is not necessarily a mark of quality.
He probably has just registered to reply to the accusation.
From his in-game knowledge, I don't think we can doubt that he is an active player for PAL.

Whether he is the only one left or not, is something we need to find out quickly (Krill?, some other PAL player).

What are the chances to find replacement players for yet another team after Banana???! Rather slim I would say.

With PAL resigned, Rabbits almost finished, I doubt Automated Teller (=Banana) stays a good chance to get his diplomatic messages answered and will say good bye in a couple of days as well.

@ PAL: if you are so annoyed by Banana not playing their turns, you should have brought it up in the forums, stop the game, look for replacement player, etc. In short make sure the game stays at a certain quality level.

I think it's likely that he registered as tonyciv4 so that people would recognise him because that's the email address used for PAL correspondance.

Tony is the real deal, he's been an active PAL player in several DG's. So no grains of salt needed...

AFAIK, no moves were made immediately after the turn rolled over. But this has to be confirmed by GeoModder, as he played that turn.

The red arrow shows that PAL has ended the turn, but the black arrow shows where the stack of PAL units ended up the next turn, proving that PAL sneakily moved the stack after we played our turn...

None of these points have anything to do with the double move. That is what this thread is about. It's pretty ridiculous to break a rule, then when questioned about it complain about other teams not playing well enough, then complain about the pace of the game, that the rule break didn't matter anyway and threaten to leave the game ("I'll take my ball and go home!"). Just accept you broke a rule, take your punishment and let's all move on. We're not kids in a playground here. If you chose to break a rule you've got to expect to be called over it and a dispute to take place. If you are in such a dominating position as you claim against the rabbits then it shouldn't affect you much anyway.

A suggestion from someone who has sat through a multitude of demogame arguements: Donöt argue and insult each other, all that does is create animosity between teams. Suggest constructive ideas that will get this game running asap (when Snoopy returns).

Also, sort out the rules, because as they stand they do not always make perfect sense.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

I think the double-move rules makes sense, I just think it lacks any sort of punishment mechanism.

I wasn't saying he should be dismissed out of hand. I was suggesting that someone who registered on 12/30/08 might not be the spokesperson for PAL.

Now that Zoid has vouched for him, that's good enough for me.
