I am a bit torn here. The fact that I was able to build the neglected team I inherited into something that could frustrate the supposedly unflappable Ladder Team into retirement despite their military dominance, well, that would be worth the price of admission for me. It could all end here and I would be completely satisfied. I'd also have to ask myself: If a team with a multi-tech lead and said dominance feels behind the 8 ball, what the heck makes me think my team stands a chance?
The only answer I have is that each turn presents a new opportunity. The last few turns are all the proof you need. Multiplayer is fun because you get to match wits with other real live people that hardly ever take the predictable AI route. It's confounding for the very same reason, but hardly ever reason to quit a game.
And though I really don't want to award PAL a replay for what I feel was a willfully missed turn, I also don't want such an advantage to cloud my path to victory.
So let's reset the turn and play on!Comment

In the interests of keeping the game alive and moving:
Reload from the last turn, preferable a save with 20 minutes left or so, and once loaded, pause it until PAL play.
If Pal don't play in the 12 hours after the reload, unpause the game.You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.Comment

@ Donovan..nice speech...hollywood poetry....at some point I thought Stalone was going to pop out of the screen with the American flag and start crying!
Now regarding the game. I want to respect rabbits and bannana wishes to carry on playing this hopeless game, but fact is that I am going on holiday for 3 weeks in a couple of days so will not be able to do that at least for the next 3 weeks. Tony our other turn player has lost interest in the game long ago for other reasons and Cres who is the only other active member in PAL is moving houses and has no internet.
I will try and get someone else to sub for this time but I cannot be sure I will find someone.Comment

So you are really just a one-man team?
It would have been polite to give people a heads up that you would need a 3weeks pause or trying to find a sub a bit earlier.
Be realistic, coming back after 3 weeks, how much interest will you have to continue playing as PAL, given the fact that you repeatedly stated you are in it for winning and see no chance to accomplish that and that you are basically on your own?
I don't want everyone to wait for 3 weeks, eager to pick the game up again, only to find you will not continue.
