Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I'm reading this forum too. I'm willing and able to host (on any patch) once I'm back from vacation on Monday 6/29. I'm sure I can figure out civstats when needed.
But to keep the game going in the short term, would PAL, templars and rabbits (and imperio?) be willing to take 30 minutes out of their computer's life to reinstall 3.17, rename the folder and then install 3.19 again?
Donovan's tactic of making lunch while doing it sounds very appealing.
You could head to the shop while BTS is uninstalling and buy some fresh crusty bread. Then get home and set 3.17 to install. Then slice open the bread, thinly butter it and insert parma ham and maybe some camembert. Rename the folder, set 3.19 to install. Bite into new sandwich, lay back in office chair and smile.
Sound good? One could switch in some stilton if that's more to your taste.
Soooo, I'm pretty ignorant about this dual-boot thing. So while I'll carry out your sandwich plan, I need some more help on the PC side of things (sandwich instructions were very detailed).
Is this right?
1) Uninstall BtS (do I need to uninstall CIV first?)
2) Install BtS for CD (do I have to reinstall CIV first?)
3) Patch to 3.17
4) Rename....something
5) Patch to 3.19
6) Choose which version to open....somehow.
You uninstall BTS, then reinstall it from CD. Download the 3.17 patch (from a popular civ-related website).
Then apply patch 3.17. Copy the Beyond The Sword folder (the one in program files/firaxis games) and rename the copy "BTS old" or something similar. To the other folder that you didn't rename, apply the 3.19 patch.
To run either version, open the Civ4BeyondSword.exe file in the arpropriate folder.
and you end up with something like this (pic shows my setup when I want to play a v317 game) ...
If you want to play a v317 game, then rename the 'Beyond the Sword v317' to 'Beyond the Sword'.
If you want to play a v319 game, then rename the 'Beyond the Sword v319' to 'Beyond the Sword'.
Once you have done that, double click a save, use a short cut - what ever. I'm also using different theme files under these directories just in case I forget to rename. v317 is a green theme and v319 is a dark navy blue theme.

Tony,
I am loading 3.19 now, and should have the game going in 15-20 minutes. Sounds like I am too late for you, but let me know if you still want me to unpause.
