There are very many positions open, like Domestic Advisor, Internal Finances Advisor, Foreign Advisor and many others.
you can also decide to be a city governor or a soldier (with an high or low rank) or simply just a citizen.
You say here what you want to be, and than go write events about your carachter in the game thread.
Other people will soon start interacting with your carachter and you will create a nice story about it.
