Somewhere near Saturn
The plan had been in the works ever since Wilhelm took office. Now, it was in action.

The German space transport entered orbit around Saturn. Then, about 200 small pods deployed from the cargo bay. The pods zoomed towards the many moons of Saturn, about eight to each of the moons. As the pods gently landed on the surface of the moons, a large German flag came out of each pod. Then, the pods deployed a small rover for exploration, scientific insturments and computers, and a large, multi-purpose laser gun.

Then, to a couple of the moons, pods containing equipment for colonization came down, and then a pod containing 1,000 people came down after those.

President Wilhelm was giving a speech about Saturn.

"I hereby declare the Moons of Saturn to be German soverign territory. If you want permission to colonize one of the moons, ask us. If you try to colonize the moons of Saturn without our permission, you will be fired at.

Note that this mission has been planned for several years, but Sweedish claims to Jupiter expidited this mission."

The President of Australia is overwhelmed. When she first took this job she was not expecting to work 15 hours a day, and listen to countless bulletins about every single nation. She decides to release a statement to several nations in light of recent events.

Camerica: Long live peace and prosperity between our nations. The NAP has been ratified. Become a good friend to us and Italy, and we may just ask you into our prestigious alliance.

Sweden: Please don't issue ultimatums. They only make your new and backwards nation look even more stupid. If Australia wants part of Io we will go and take it. And nothing your pathetic icy wasteland says will change anything. My suggestion is to claim as much as you can now, before Australia goes and takes her fair share.

Inca: We offer a cease fire and we will not however take any action that is not in agreement with the international peacekeeping force. We send 25,000 troops and several battleships to help the peacekeepers.

Australia suggests that this International Peacekeeping Force (IPF) become a lasting force to deal with problems throughout our galaxy. Perhaps some nation can offer a city to be the official head of the IPF on Earth. Australia will offer New Sydney on Phobos to be the head space city. Any nation who wants to join is welcome, but they must be aware that their soldiers can be sent off to anywhere there is rebellion or a problem to help ensure stability. Anything we are leaving out?

With 1 million people working they get a lot done in 1 month. About the time issue: As the trip to Pluto takes 1 month and 1 rl day is 12 months I think traveltime is no big issue]

AUSTRALIA TO LAND ON EUROPA: JUPITER, NEW COLONY TO BE SET UP!

Australian vessels have left New Sydney on the moon Phobos and have headed for the Jupiter moon Europa. Colonists from Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Townsville have taken off from Callmans rock on Phobos and will arrive on Europa in about a year. Australia has decided to broaden it's colonies, in response to Sweden's claim on Io, the best of Jupiter's moons. Jupiter, which has about 16 moons, is "ready to be colonized" says head of Aussie space programs Craig Li. Li, who has worked with President Hetkins about a possible Jupiter project has been working for about 7 years on this project. "It was very exhausting work, between this and a similar project on Venus" (which has just been released to the public a few days ago) "We had to get the colonists, secure transports, and do a lot of scientific probing to make sure that a dome could be erected quickly." The first capital Willkston, named for the last Prime Minister of Australia, is expected to be completed about March of next year. No comment has been released by Sweden in response to this. Sweden: Oh well we took a moon. Whatever, there are still 14 others. Our suggestion is just to let it go, We want about two maybe Italy wants one. You can have whatevers left, seeing how your a new and backwards nation and all. After all you have Io, the best moon of them all.

2 mins after the first australian space ship entered Europas athmosphere a number of BAMSE rockets hit the vessel. It exploded in a big fireball and crashed. The same fate got to 5 other vessels before Australia had time to react. The swedish space navy scrambled and moved towards the australian fleet.
"If you do not go away we will open fire" was the message sent from the swedish-jupiter fleet.

the ULS is taking it's formal colony off of Jupiter and claiming all of Venus. Millitary establishments are being begun and the colonial domes will be done in 2 years.

This is an unprovoked attack on Australian Civilians not military but civilians!!! You had no claim on the other moons of Jupiter and there was no threat to your sovereignty of Io. Therefore Australia declares WAR on Sweden and calls Italy to help us out. We have been unfairly attacked without a single warning! This is unjust and unfair. A small inferior nation should NOT be attacking at all, but lately that's all inferior nations seem to be doing.

Well, Sweden, you're in for a lonnnnnggg war. The Australian space navy has been put on high alert and more than half is headed to Io to attack. No one shall be spared.

The Australian Navy is out and will be nearing the cost of Sweden shortly, about 10,000 marines have been deployed and 30,000 are being mobilized. The Australian Royal Airforce (in honour of our old king) is on carriers ready to leave Tasmania.

Nuclear weapons are in position to destroy Swedish settlements and bases. Do not push us that far, for we know the disastrous effects.

Australia looks forward to ravaging Io and killing women and children and watching the men die helplessly as we destroy their "space navy."

If other nations would like to offer assistance we would be more than happy to trade favours and will promise to aid you at a later date.

Perhaps you missed the series of posts where Australia and Italy claimed much of Venus using Leonardicum? Well in any event we wont stop you, we have err more pressing matters of state to attend to.

i agree wih australia's IPF plan and offer Nwe Washington as it's potential space base.

I also beleive that we should ressurect the UN (lthe original was lost to nuclear war) Madrid seems a good neutral meeting ground but where do the rest of you reccomend?

Without a single warning!?!?!? We told you that we placed automatic defense stations that would fire on ALL non swedish vessels entering athmosphere. All of our space navy has attacked your space navy. Beware that our medium space fleet is bigger then your pitifull small space navy. You will be eradicated from the skies.

All civilians left the south pole and took all valuable material with them. Only troops and ammo was left. All defenses are readied and we require the assistance of all other nations. We did NOT start this war.

We appreciate the offer but as a LAST RESORT only. Our technical staff are trying to determine whether or not the bunker-buster tacnuke would set off the other nukes. That could leave Panama a wasteland for years. Still that is better than having seven nukes strike other parts of the world. We should note that these are ICBMs and NOT capable to travelling to the moon. Only your antarctic base would be vulnerable.

We are still hoping to resolve this some other way. We realize trying to shoot down the nukes would be very difficult, if the UK does not come through with their EMP device, so if the launch sequence is detected, we grant permission. Our Spec Ops have landed and currently in mission. Results to come soon!

We should warn you that this is a military communique and that the Continental Council is unaware of this. They would not approve of anyone, for any reason, dropping nuclear weapons on NAF soil. THe NAF military cannot guarantee we'd be able to explain this one to the public (and as a democracy it might throw us into revolution).

We hereby request permission to establish RESEARCH bases on Saturn's moons. A tiny space fleet will accompany them for support and security if permission is granted. We are willing to arrange for a 100 year LEASE of whatever land we use.

SWEDEN:
We strongly condemn the attack on Australian civilian vessels! That is terrorism!

However, due to our NAP, we stay at peace with you. Don't worry too much about Canamerxican influence. Until your conflict with Australia is resolved, our investments are being put on hold. Besides, you have bigger things to worry about!

AUSTRALIA:
While we welcome your NAP and would love to do business with you, we cannot support your war with Sweden militarily. We consider their actions "terrorist" and strongly condemn it but our hands are tied with the NAP. We must, unfortunately, remain neutral.

We wish to counsel restraint in the use of nukes as per our policy. We humbly suggest that your superior forces will not need nukes to defeat the Swedes.

We support your motion for a PERMANENT IPF, but seeing as to how war is breaking out again, this may be a poor time for discussing that.

I agree with Madrid. That is fine by us.

(We have saved some artifacts from the former UN, including a giant melted blob that used to be an enormous metal sculpture of the earth with doves (representing peace) flying around it. We offer to send the artifact to the new HQ. We think this artifact of a destroyed earth will be especially symbolic as it reminds us of the dangers of war.)

The UN should head up the IPF.

The NAF doesn't care where the IPF Space Base is.
