What's this? ANOTHER succession game? Damn right.
I just found out about these things today by reading the Apolyton and CivFanatics forums, and they're probably one of the best ideas ever (and the closest to MP we're going to get for a while).
I know there are some already going on, but I was hoping to try and start one myself this coming holiday weekend (when I've got a lot more time).
The specifications would probably be the same as many of the other games on the forum:
- Regent difficulty
- Random Civ
- Normal or Large map
- 20 turns per ruler, with a 72 hour limit
- 7 or 8 opposing civilizations
- Normal/Temperate/4 Billion
- 70% Land Mass
There'll probably be a limit of 6 or 7 players total, maybe a few more depending on how many respond. Also, I was thinking of getting a site or something (maybe on Geocities) up and running that'll detail the history of our Civ in all its glory. I suppose the title of the post is a bit misleading, as the game will probably take much longer than one weekend.
So, if you're interested in taking part in yet ANOTHER CivIII succession game, respond to this post or send an e-mail to berduin@softhome.net.
