  • Civ3 SUCESSION GAME anyone?

I was thinking about starting a Civ3 sucession game.

A sucession game is basically where one player plays a game for x number of turns then passes the file on to the next player. It has been done sucessfully with Civ2 and CtP2, so I think it can be done here. The only problem I see is that the saves are somewhat large, but that can probably be dealt with.

If there is any interest for this, please post here and we can get the first Civ3 sucession game going.

(And by the way, it would be great to see some of the other old CtP2 sucession gamers here.)

Oh yea. I am 100% in on this one!

One thing I would suggest. Keep the # of players around 5 or 6. I was in a Ctp2 game with over 10 players. Everyone got to play about 2 turns before the game was over.
Where are you from? Put yourself on the Apolyton Map!

You wouldn't be referring to Ctp2 game 3, would you?

Anyways, now that I know that there is some interest in this, we should probably start talking about game settings and rules.

IMPORTANT: This sucession game will be limited (most likely) to six people.

        **bump**

There's got to be more than two people interested in this.

I guess I would, but man, I'm still in my second game. Hahaha, the Mighty Persians will crush all who oppose them!

MacTbone: Don't worry, I just finished my first game.

All Players: I need your e-mail adresses. You can post them here or send them to me, but they will be posted eventually. You can also start telling me what settings you want: civs, world size, our civ, difficulty level, world settings, etc.

I'll play. I was in a CTP2 succession game for a while until work took over..... Had a website for it as well you may recall.

I prefer the persians, though any other industrious Civ will do.

                    Players & Rules

We have our six people. They are:

                    Jonny - jonny11788@aol.com
                    Aebbeka -
                    MacTBone -
                    Redstar1 -
                    Eli - shadowmn@netvision.net.il
                    John-SJ

The persian civ is fine with me. I actually like them quite a bit. If there are no objections, we will play with them.

                    RULES

There will be 20 turns per player until otherwise said.

The 72 hour rule will be used. Example: Once player A sends the game to player B, that player has 72 hours to play and post a summary. If that player does not do that, player A cand send the file to player C and skip player B's turn that round.

You must post a summary before sending the file on, to prevent any confusion.

If anyone thinks that there should be changes to these rules, please post.

The save files are uncompressed and if you zip them they go down upwards of 95% in size.

I might be interested if you get more room available, or in a future game.
