Let me tell you a tale to make you realize you life is cushy and yes, your job could be worse.

It all started back several generations ago, when the land is first settled and continues next time you load a game. Through all eras and governments my toil knows no end.

I am no ordinary Joe, I am Joe worker.

I build your roads to bring you money, resources, and luxuries as well as connecting your empire.

I clear disease from marshland

I irrigate your fields to watch your cities grow and prosper.

As time goes on, I get to redo old technology into new technology.

I dig mines to suit your Empire’s needs for improvements and wonders.

Other units get the glory of exploration and conquest

I am tasked to clean up after pollution, city after city.

If I am real lucky, I will the first unit captured and get the name slave.
