Greetings Great Czar of all the Russias

It was with great sadness that I read the battle reports of the clash of our forces at Leipzig. The losses on both sides were very high. The letters to th families took quite sometime indeed.

I regret to inform you that we may once again be at battle. My Prussian allies have requested that once Marechal Remicks forces regroup that they head further across Prussia to assist in further action. It seems you have taken another of their cities, and also have quite a force either near and / or within their lands.

As clearly stated previously, my nation fully recognizes the alliance with Prussia, and we will stand with them in this time of your invasion.

Please note that my people do not have any issues with you expanding your Empire, nor do we object to your use of Military force. What we do object to is attacking our allies. Afterall one must stand strong with ones friends and allies, as I am sure you understand.

You should be aware that we do not wish to take this battle into your country, ie across the original borders prior to your invasion. Our intent in this matter is the restoration of Prussia.

We will fight this battle as long as our Alliance stands.

    May your family be well

Sir Paddy, the Sultan has great difficulty accepting that you wish to discuss peace. There has been talk of this for months yet your armies trudge on through leaving nothing but a trail of destruction in their wake.

The Sultan wisely accepts there is nothing his feeble siphai's can do against the power of Imperial Guards, and so is withdrawing from Austria, burning their cities to the ground so your forces don't help themselves as they have been doing so to date.

Of course we desire peace, but given the untruths of the past, we suspect that any peace treaty won’t be worth the parchment its written on.

How can the French convince us of their true desire for peace?

      ---------------------------------

      Ok Grand Suultain

If you send me a shot of what you have destroyed and what you have remaining then we may be able to call a peace

The great Lord of England is not a great one for having cities Razed, so I would prefer that you rather kept the cities than destroyed them

Peace has always been my intent

I have never wanted to attack the home lands of the Otto, you will see my forces have turned the other direction

"oh that certainly would be rich indeed" states Lord Gettrig, Minister of State

        "whats that there Gettrig?"

"ahh Marechal Morangie. the English King feels that he must sennd forth his mighty Redcoats as a force of peace keepers."

" I am not at all sure what to make of thsi, afterall the King is quite the Continental traveller. He has a great many contacts throughout all of these lands." Paddy wanders over to a vaste map of Europe. "OK our Emperor is at the moment here, with the Guard and two Corps. How soon do you think the English could have a serious force to let loose across this region here then?"

"Well Marechal my latest reports show an English buildup in this region, and we have sighted troop ships along this coast here."

"Lord Gettrig, I say that we gather the staff, get as much information together as we can, then get despatches off to the Emperor before the twelth hour."

"Indeed, indeed." here Lord Gettrig turns to the door of the great library of the House of Assimov. Stepping through the door he calls over his personal aide, Major Hoostinger.

"Major, gather the war cabinet and the war councils immediatly."

          Salzburg in the Disputed Territories

VII Corp under the command of Marechal Massena gives his final orders then the assualt upon the city begins

18th Division General de Division Beta

Then dispatch riders started to arrive with new orders:

I Corp, Marechal Morangie, to stand in Paris.

II Corp, Marechal Remick, to gather and step back from Russia.

The Guard to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx along the way.

III Corp, Marechal Lauriston, to regroup at xxxxxxxxxxxxx.

IV Corp, Marechal Davout, to stand outside of Milan.

V Corp, Marechal Ney, to guard the pass between the Austrians and the Ottomen, but not to advance into Ottomen territory.

VI Corp, Marechal MacDonald, to stand still, Palmi will stand.

VII Corp, Marechal Massena, would move no more forward. Vienna will stand, and not be approached. Many units were to return to France, all others as soon as possible

VIII Corp, Marechal F.Scratch, to return to their barracks.

IX Corp, Marechal Vandamme, to hold strong.

X Corp, the fleet in the Med, Marechal Bessieres, to stand, but not enter Ottomen water.

Peace looks to have broken out all over Europe

As a show of good faith and the intentions of peace France has sent the following:

To the Czar of all the Russias
          - peace treaty
          - 50 bags of gold
          - a map of the world
          - and a detailed map of France
          - this has been sent accepted

To the Suultain of the Ottomen
          - peace treaty
          - 50 bags of gold
          - a map of the world
          - and a detailed map of France
          - this has been sent accepted

To His Majesty, the King of Britian
          - a trade in wines
          - a map of the world
          - and a detailed map of France

My Lords, as I have requested that my units either retire, or stand in place, not all orders may have arrived. I ask your leniency on any units that infract upon your lands, whether they be your new lands, or those of old.

I will have them out of any such place as soon as the next turn.

It would not be considered a friendly act to have you now attack them now would it

As to the Austrian city of Budapest, please know that France would like to see this city flying the Ottomen flag soon, thus allowing the Ottomen free travel to their city of Vienna.

              Re: September 1802 Venice

Well General Dr. Spike, your division is one of the most famous in all of France. As noted in the following report, that was posted some time back, your division, part of Marechal Ney's infamous V Corp, was a major contributor to the Ottomen retreating from Austria, with their tails firmly tucked in...

And as the report notes, your division has been victorious.

Yet it will a long time until this show is complete

My lads and I watched the capture of Venice to clock work precision.

Once I received the information from Marechal Laauriston’s riders I unleashed V Corp as per your orders. The 13th Division under command of General de division Dr Spike had three encounters with Ottomen forces. The Ottomen will not be returning home.

The only other contact was of the 107th Cavalry Regiment, 1st brigade, 14th Division. They encountered and finished of one of the earlier encountered Shekan Regiments.

The passes have all been taken and my troops have dug in. I have an excellent field of vision, and no opposition units have been sighted at this hour.

Please find attached maps of the area, and my full battle list.
