I don't see it as a flaw... I see it as a fact. You are completely right. As long as we have a contract with your team, we will abide by that contract. If you fail to make a payment or in some other way violate the contract, said contract is voided.

I'm just saying that no matter what the situation, it will be in the Glories best interest to follow each contract to its fullfilment. It we don't, or if we violate our own contract, then no one will trust us and no one will sign another contract with us.

Just to clarify some things on how this works.

      1. We will not reveal the identity of any of our employers. Your secret is safe with us. Legoland wants to smash Vox Controli while maintaining a peacefull appearance, who are we to judge? Some roleplay member wants us to pillage another member's holdings, what do we care? As long as we are paid, there is no reason to tell who our employer is. Failure to pay, though...

      2. We will not accept conflicting contracts. If we already have a contract to take two cities from Legoland, we will not accept a counter contract from them till our previous one is met. (Of course, if a part of their counter proposal is to GIVE us those cities, it would fulfill the first contract...) All contracts will be completed as agreed upon, and we expect the same with your end of the contract.

      3. Payment will be made in several forms, likely with an up front and upon completion cost depending on the nature of the contract. Various forms of payment being considered are Workers, Cash, Tech, Cities, and Artillery units (allow us to 'capture' x # catapults).

Donegal - that's all I wanted to get out of you.

Unorthodox - Thanks for the clarification on that.

A question the must be asked of the GoW: if you are employed to destroy another civ, what would you do with it? Keep it? That might limit your employment prospects somewhat, as no-one would want to see you become a super-civ (except you, of course).

            GeneralTacticus:

I believe that this would be specified in the contract. I imagine that some teams would want to keep the cities, in which case we would give them, say, 75% of captured cities. In some other cases, teams may want to keep their identities a secret, in which case, we may pilliage 75% of the cities, leaving room for the other team to settle there. All of these are dependant on what the goal of the war is for.

True. We are not opposed to capturing cities then gifting them to someone else. (Or, if you prefer a more anonymous role, allowing you to declare war on us and 'capture' those cities you wanted...) All depends on what YOU want, we are here to serve.

Does GoW desire to win the game, or simply to serve as honorable mercs throughout?

For those who know the names, are you Falkenberg or Graeme?

Lux Invicta sends its greetings to the almighty Glory of War, we look forward to some interesting encounters with you, and hope we can tame the savage celtic tribes, and bring some order and justice throughout the world.

Soon we should exchange ambassadors so we can negotiate our relationships and try and cooperate where we have areas of similarity.

Even if you just want to negotiate surrender, diplomacy will still be useful to your warlike strategies.

                    Just a question,

What happens if you can't fulfill 'the' contract yourselves ??
                    Do you return the money,....??

reminds me of that Steve Miller song

*Meshelic sings "go on,...take the money and run, ooh yeah, go on take the money and run...."

                        alva,

I believe that when a contract is hammered out, it would include what would happen if the GoW is unsucessful in its goals. Obviously, you can't return technology, but we may let the customer have a city or something along with new tech, workers, bombard units, resource, or something of that nature. There would also be some time constraint on the whole thing. It all depends on what the customer wants and expects.

                          Is that even possible?

The GoW not being able to fulfill its part of the contract? You're really grasping for straws there, aren't you!
