The difficulty will affect a variety of things in the game, but mostly the AI. So the question is what difficulty level should we play at?

is this normal level, or AI (editor) level???
As a person who mods quite often, you will probably understand what i'm taking about here.
Sometimes it does get confusing, doesn't it. Even the simplest things as a game levelIs God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

deity: makes it's more aggresive (it will need more lux to keeps it peeps happy)
chieftain: it will take on a more builder strat.
What will suit the game more?Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Monarch. We struggled mightily against the AI on Emperor and if we play at that level again, the AI will continue to plague us for a long time. We (ok, I) want this game to be human v human more than human, human v AI. The lower the AI the quicker we get to the entire reason we all got PTW to begin with.Founder of The Glory of War, CHAMPIONS OF APOLYTON!!!

true, but some will gain more then others, due to starting positionsIs God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Deity. i never play at this level in SP, but with several combined brains thinking throuhg the strategy we should cope fine. Plus, this will place a high value on Luxuries, which is always a good reason to go to war and/or conduct diplomacy with other human Civs.If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

Monarch.
We made it in the C3DG because there were plenty of excellent brains for each issue, but with the limited team size, we're likely to have only one (or two at most) brain per team which specializes on a given issue.
If we play on emperor, we're likely to side among humans against the AI at the beginning."I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident

"I have never cut off my penis when I was upset over a girl." -- Dis

Regent and Monarch aren't that different, but Regent provides a little challenge, while producing a minimal ammount of AI cheeting."If you're not having fun, then you're losing the game."-Copyright Warrior Poet 11/18/2002 "No plan survives first contact with the enemy."-Tsun Tzu -Don't know when B.C.

there is bount to be at least one deity player in each team, add that to the combined minds....
one thing though, if there is an deity ai, he will lead in tech at first, wich well just doesn't seem fair (having to go back to sp strategies )
maybe agreeing not trade any techs to and from the AI might solve thisIs God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
