  • Sweet, we're getting another Militaristic, Religious Civ

Of the European Variety (Celts). So what are the other traits going to be? Anyone take a stab at the mongols traits? I know they have to be militaristic, I guess expansionist is thier 2nd trait Too bad I hate that trait but love the mongols.

Expansionistic, if I had to venture a guess.

Personally, I would prefer that no trait combination (or individual trait) be overrepresented.

        But hey, that's just me.

Kinda tough with a fixed number of combinations. Unless they introduce some new Civ traits there simply are going to be repeats.

Yes, but there are 15 combinations and we have only 24 civs. We already have two Rel-Mil civs. We don't need three.

I would like at least one more militaristic/industrial civ. As of right now, there is only one; the Chinese.

I'll eat my PtW manual if the Mongols aren't Militaristic and Expansionist.

They probably will be. However, you do realize we're going to hold you to that statement. If you don't already have a bottle, I suggest getting some A-1 sauce just in case...
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

                    Are you crazy?!

Hoisin sauce is the proper complement for the manual...
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Well, it's not like the Civ 3 manual is any help either.

Hand over the tobasco sauce, my deal lads.

                        Hmm...

If each Civ could have three traits there would be 20 possible combinations instead of the current 15.

but 3 is probably too much to give a civ. Militaristic, Religious, Industrious would be INSANE. how do you expect a Commercial, Expansionist, Scientific civ to beat them?

In most cases, you're right. But it depends on the map. In a large pangea map with less than maximum civs they would be pretty evenly matched in this case. Expansionist gets you all the ancient age techs, and the Commercial trait shines in the late game when you have many cities. It also depends on the UU.

I think 3 traits per civ is a good idea for a mod.

I can't do the math at the moment, but if a new trait were added, and each civ had to have two of them, how many combinations would that make?
