Just got an answer from Soren, concerning our crashes:

My guess is that your save just got corrupted somehow... have you tried backing up a few turns and just replaying them? I also might be able to figure something out if you could send me the 3-4 turns preceding the one with the crash...

I would have such a save (will check it this evening, no time now). What will we do?

Since our savegame seems to be corrupted, I would propose to go back to 470BC, before the problems begun. Perhaps we can prevent this game from the fate of game 1.
