Thousands of years ago, four civilizations were placed on Earth with the hope that they would populate the land. At first, everything seemed to go well. One civilization, the Americans, stayed out of foreign affairs. However, greed slowly crept in to each of the leaders' hearts. The Egyptians formed an alliance with the Iroqouis, to destroy the already crippled French. The French countered the evil alliance by burning an Egyptian city named Arrian Deception. That city, which had been named after one of the great Gods who watched over them, had been a source of strength for the Egyptians. The people, angered by this brutal act, began the call for their War Chariots.

At this moment, Firaxis looked down on the world. What had he done?? These people were supposed to populate the earth, not destroy it.

"Oh well. I'll try again tomorrow."

Firaxis awoke with a fresh feeling.

"Maybe I chose the wrong people."

But then he realized, the Americans had been nice, and the Egyptians really hadn't done anything serious.

"I'll give those two another chance."

So, the Americans, Egyptians, Arabs, and Zulus were stuck on a new world, with the hope that these civs would not destroy each other. In fact, Firaxis gifted each civ a head of cattle, to encourage a peaceful world.

Bad Story. GAME ON. Save sent to Alex.

      We're off!

One question: is the map really 70% water as mentioned in the first post?

Alex: Yes, I made sure that I was generating the map with the correct settings. I did have to add a little land though, to make things fair.

I should say that I too appreciate BRC's services which will make the game much more fun. We really want an interesting map, but no real advantages and that takes work and care. thanks

BRC, I have no doubt you remembered to set the map settings, the problem is that there is an inconsistency between what we said in the thread (80%) and what is stated in the initial post (70%). It doesn't matter to me, as long as we all know what you used.
