Thanks for the information and I have even better news. Tomorrow all the computers in the faculty room will be replaced! I'll have a new computer that can run Civ3 well and I'll have a good Internet connection. It'll be no problem to take my turn and I won't have to keep bothering my coworker by asking to use her computer.

Is Ghengis still having trouble with e-mail? I'm waiting for him to send me my turn.
I should have known better than to believe that 'tomorrow' in the school system really means tomorrow. I'll probably get my new computer on Monday or Tuesday.

I had a look at the Candle'bre website and the forums. Looks interesting. Is this a free Civ game or will it be for sale?

This is Vel's first game, and will be free !!!

If they ever come around doing more games (he did set up a company), then those won't be for free, he's still looking into new mechanisms on how to go about it .

You mean Alpha Centauri Expansion Pack? I played the original game but not the expansion. I really like the diplomacy and the game in general but the graphics and music were kind of depressing. I think that's why I didn't play it for long.

Suddenly I feel like playing SMAC again.
