He must have at least one bonus food resource. I am close enough to look for myself in a couple of turns.

Turn to GhengisFarb

I built the Free Love improvement and the population just skyrocketed.

This early in the game, there is a good amount of info to get from the score, F11 screen...

I'm waiting on Ghengis.
By the way, I don't have all the resources and luxuries you think I do. I'm sure you'll all be passing my score in a few turns. Ghengis is really catching up fast.

• Sent to Anatolia.

I think I'm stuck on an island.

I usually like islands because it gives me time to build up a few decent cities before the enemies come. But no expansion until you get ships.

• Ghengis, if you think it's unplayable, tell us as soon as possible. I rathere restart now then in 20 turns

My start is pretty decent too

All of you have just about caught up to my score. Question: Now that Shinshi has a population of only 1, why is it still at the top of the Best five City list?

Have any of you ever played IL-2 Sturmovik? It's a great WW2 flight simulator. Much better than MS Combat Flight Simulator (although I haven't tried CFS3)
