Anyone interested in playing PBEM on Earth map?

Even though my wife was Iriquois and my people have been in America since the 1600s you are going to make me switch. That's, that's.......unAmerican

Frankly, forgive me, but I can't figure out what's open at this point. Egypt always starts on Earth maps in the middle of the Sarhara desert -- so that's out. Are there any industrious civs left to place somewhere.

BTW, North America without two civs is a bit uncrowded, don't you think

I couldn't find a way to turn them off, so I assume they're still on (I saw a hut, in the first round )

Well... there's not many Civs to choose from. I think there's:
Russia, Egypt, Zulu, Cartigan... well...AFAIR, that's it... (If you choose Russia, the two AI's will become two of the Civs in Africa...

Maybe we should have a North American civ who will take a large part of NA, a South American civ who will take a large part of SA and a Central American civ who will take CA and small parts of both NA and SA.

If I remember the map correctly, the CA civ can only be Aztecs and there is no one in SA.

I can live with jshelr being in N-America because the start positions really are not too close to each other. The Iroquois start on west coast and Americans on the East coast, i dont think that we will even make contact very early

I had a hut in my initial city radius on the first round, by the way. I was hoping for a settler pop which requires that you not have an active settler. It is ambiguous whether popping the hut by founding a city can ever produce a settler. Anyone know? Anyway, I moved one square away to make sure.

Hmmm... that's not how the Iroquois are placed on this map. They're actually just above the Americans, but if they belong to the west coast, I can quickly change it. I don't know where they belong...

Hm. I remember playing one version of Kal-Els earth map where iroquois started on West coast and Americans on the east. They were almost the same latitude too.

That would solve the problem here, unless jshelr opposes being on west coast ? Propably not ?

They usually start in Toronto I'd be happy to start in St Louis. The West Coast is the rocky mountains, not very salubrious.

St Louis is almost where the Amers start Maybe Denver or Salt Lake City ?

About half way down the big river in the middle of the continent. Probably, the states are not marked clearly on the map, but it's in Missouri.
