                        Why does the game not remember my preferences? Always changes them on loading the save. It's annoying.

                          I think it has to do with the buggy nature of the civ3 engine. It doesn't seem to really comprehend pbem, its just kind of been tricked into it by the programmers. So it tends to forget that there's more than one human player per game. This theory also accounts for various and assundry bugs, which I won't mention here since they allow for massive cheating.
