1690 AD to Enamel and a time for another battle report

                        This time its Romans turn

I had investigated some of the Roman border cities few turns ago, and back then they were not very highly guarded, only 2-3 obsolete units each. I could have attacked back then, but i decided to build more Tanks/Cavalry to take whole Roman empire in one turn. My plan however failed ; i didnt take account of the cultural borders and huge city spacing Romans had ; they were left with Neapolis where my troops did not reach.

Gladly i had 2 settlers in stock, otherwise i could not even take more than 3 cities. But the settlers helped, as can be seen on the pictures and the report. If i've had 3 settlers, i would have taken Neapolis too But, i didnt.

Romans had upgraded most of their defensive units to Infantry in between my investigation and attacks, but this didnt effect much to my losses, as i built Radar Tower to back up my attack whenever it was possible. Ok. Now to the report.

                        1. Build radar tower SE of Manchester to boost units. Use infantry to capture worker on the attack path. Tanks capture Elephantine (2 tanks killed 2 infantry, no losses).

                        2. Build radar tower SW of Elephantine. Tanks capture Pisae (4 tanks killed 2 infantry, one tank lost)

(I wont detail anymore the building of radar towers or infantry capturing workers on the attack path, i'll just say that radar tower was built whenever useful and all workers on the way were captured by infantry )

                        3. Move settler S of Pisae, abandon Pisae (sell improvements first), build Ipswich with the settler to get cultural borders so that we can attack Veii with Tanks. Tanks capture Veii (2 tanks kill 2 infantry, capture cannon, no losses)

                        4. Now Rome is in reach of cavalry. Cavalry capture Rome (10 cavalry killed 2 infantry, 2 cavalry lost, leader Mr. Cornwallis appears )

                        5. Cumae captured. (2 cavalry killed one Pikeman , no losses)

                        6. Pompeii captured. (2 tanks & 3 cav killed 1 inf, 1 musket, 1 pike ; 1 tank and 1 cav lost)

                        7. Marines try to capture Giza from transports - 2 Marine Armies kill 2 Infantry there, but then some Pikeman there kills rest of the marines and marine campaign fails Pikemen sure are tough

                        8. Build Portsmouth to reach Byblos by land now that Marine campaign failed. Byblos captured. (6 cav killed 1 musket, 1 pike, 1 spear. spear manages to kill 2 cav before the city is taken. Damn these anicent units fight hardest)

                        9. The persistant Pikeman from giza is finally won by our cavalry, Giza captured.

Now only one city is left to Romans, but i cant reach it. Time to kill two roman unit stacks left.

                        10. Eastern stack consisting 1 musket & 4 cav is taken out with 2 tanks who both attack twice and a cav, no losses.

                        11. Western stack of 1 Elite legion, 8 cav and worker is taken out with 7 cavalry and 6 infantry (run out of attack units) losses are 3 cavalry and 2 infantry.

                        12. Some units with movement and good hp left are sent towards last remaining Roman city, perhaps to take it next turn..

But.... I didn't want it to be my turn!!

I'll be opening the turn shortly to see what I can salvage out of this mess.

If I don't survive to the next turn.. Gentlemen, it was a pleasure meeting you.

Multiple dead cavalry (about 8) and no Roman losses, in fact i think at least 2 Roman units promoted to Elite

                                Another try next turn

                                1695 AD sent to Enamel
