Yeah, In the next 2 turns I will have about 5 more settlers. I've already got about 4 or 5 on their way to build cities.
Still, it's quite a regret that I have that I didn't use the city spacing I now prefer (ICS) and that I built so few workers in the early years. As a matter of fact, I'm still about 5-10 short for my main base, and lets not even talk about Paddy's old cities.
3 of my settlers are going to places close to my capitol that I should have settled many turns ago, but they didn't agree with the loose spacing I used, xxCxx.
I mean, in another game I played in single player I had over 100 cities by this date. Right now I have about half that including the cities Paddy gave me.
Well, I am now adopting the ICS layout, even if it is a little late. I'm getting techs way too slowly though. Right now it's about every 12 turns. This is going to put me way back. I am making a decent profit. Perhaps next turn I can raise the science slider.
I think that one of my problems is that I've never played PBEMs before, and I'm not used to the feel of it. I usually play single player, and reach AD in about a half hour. We spent what? Three months getting to AD? I will probably play another pbem sometime in the future. I'd like to encorporate ICS along with some REXing and build like I did in my recent single player game. In the single player game it's actually been a little too easy on Regent. I've never had it that easy before.
But I agree, the game is getting more fun. It's too bad Paddy is missing out. I can't wait to plop down all the cities these next 5 or so turns. I have a LOT of land available. I really need to grab it though before the Germans do. They seem to have finally crossed the great jungle that has divided us, and are now working their way into juicy territory, the territory I want.
