but there were no horses in the americas until white man brought them. if there were they'd died out. Of course, we can always tweak the world for the sake of gameplay... i'll throw in a horsie in north america.

I managed to take a look at the map. It looks Ok for that scale.

Incidentally, there is one minor detail that tends to be overlooked in most world maps: there is one Oil deposit in Europe, but it's rather small and it will probably dry up soon. The reason I'm mentioning it is that it was the only one Hitler had access to. I'm not sure, though, if it's worth putting on the map for a game that spans 6000 years.

Also, I think someone else tried once to add depletion rates for luxuries and they disappeared, never to appear again. I can also be wrong. We'll just have to play and see how it goes.

hmmm, dont know about that, its a little worrying, but on the other hand, these are resources that can be depleted due to human consumption so It adds a little realism I guess...

I could also be wrong. It was a long time ago. All I can say for sure is that I remember reading on the forums that someone experimented with resourse depletion and got some very nasty results.

it would be sorta fun to have great nations for a certain time and then as resources dwindle we end up where we started, in the bronze age
