The last of the christmas revelers have finally left my place. Time to catch up on some

I haven't installed the patch yet, does it not only effect new cities? If so it shouldn't be a problem installing it. or ?

I believe the guidance from Firaxis stated that NEW games should be started with the patch, not in the middle of current games.

I'm going to do a bit of reading/testing tonight on this patch.

How did you get on Shogun Gunner?

I spent a bit of time trawling around the various sites and after sifting through all the confusion, anger and frustration, I am lead to believe that:
                • Corruption is fixed. For cities placed the same distance from capital (ie RCP), city rank is now based on database order. Therefore corruption around your primary core will not increase when the FP is built.
                • However, rank corruption for cities around the FP is NOT affected, only distance corruption is reduced. Thus the FP is not as powerful as it was in PTW, but still worth building when correctly placed.
                • Pre-patch games already have corruption for each city calculated and stored in the SAV. This means that if you already have a lot of corrupt cities, corruption won't be reduced when you install the patch, as it seems that corruption gets calculated as the game progresses. However corruption for cities built post patch will get calculated as per the new formula.
Therefore since we all only have 1 city with no corruption, we theoretically shouldn't have any issues.

                    And sent on to Shogun.

Went to watch premiership soccer for the first time yesterday, quite a good crack.
